02. Mass Media
Daniel: Well, the thing I like about the Easy Redirection Script is that... It's
so easy to use. And there's so many cool features that you simply won't
find in any of the other redirecting software.

Daniel: So few people actually know how to use it in ways that give
them a good advantage and tap into all they can do with the software.

Daniel: Did you know that instead of including the link to the image
directly, you can wrap the image or video link in a redirect and place it
in there?

Jason: I did but never thought about using it with ERS

Daniel: Yeah. It works the same with YouTube videos too.

Jason: Explain to people why this would be valuable to do.

Daniel: Well, there are a lot of ways that people use images and videos
in their marketing.

Daniel: Let's start with images.

Daniel: Nowadays, a lot of salespages are made with images.

Daniel: For example, WSOs

Jason: Yes the full page is nothing but images, not text

Jason: Even though it looks like text

Daniel: Yeah. Instead of using text, people just format the salespages in
Photoshop, upload it to a site and embed it on their WSO. And they
often use the same salespage on many other sites.

Daniel: It's a hassle to change things around unless you rewrite the
original image file.

Daniel: If you do this using a redirect instead…

Daniel: So <img src="your redirectionlink" />, you can change all your
sales pages quickly.

Daniel: And you can switch them back and forth when you have limited
time offer sales.

Daniel: Reuse the image for a Mother's Day sale, a Christmas sale, year
after year, etc.

Jason: Nice. I can't tell you how many times I see out of date images on
sales pages.

Daniel: Yeah. Me too.

Daniel: And this works well for affiliate marketing too.

Daniel: Some people, especially those doing Amazon affiliate marketing,


they spread their images of the product their promoting, and have an
image of a “Buy Now" button within the image they’re spreading around

Daniel: and clicking on the image goes through their affiliate link

Daniel: Let's say, a new hot updated version of the product comes out

Daniel: You got all these old images with old links bringing traffic to an
old product

Daniel: Why not, switch them all over instantly to the latest version of the
product

Daniel: Especially if it's during a new product launch

Daniel: and... boom...

Jason: Nice

Daniel: You are leveraging all the old work you've done

Daniel: and reusing it again and again.

Jason: Makes sense

Daniel: Well, you can do the same thing with YouTube videos.

Daniel: Just change where the embed link is pointing to with a


redirection link.

Daniel: So, that's one very easy but powerful way you can use ERS.

Jason: Awesome. There is a lot of use to just that one thing.

Jason: What's another secret you wouldn't mind spilling?

02. Stealth Profits
Daniel: Well, let's see… How about I share how I use stealth redirection to
make more money than normally possible?

Jason: Sure

Daniel: I mean 99% of people don't even know about this

Jason: And for anyone who doesn't know what a stealth redirection in
ERS is...

Jason: Can you explain that real quick

Daniel: Yup

Daniel: Well, normally when you're doing a standard redirection with


normal redirection software

Daniel: You can only redirect your affiliate link to the landing page that
the product vendor gives you.

Daniel: You can't send your visitors who click on your affiliate link
anywhere else.

Daniel: Only to the landing page specified by the product vendor.

Daniel: However, ERS has a nifty little tool called the Stealth Redirection

Daniel: That you can use to send visitors to other landing pages.

Daniel: You just insert your affiliate link in the redirection

Daniel: and people who click on it get cookied.

Daniel: After they get cookied, they get redirected to another landing
page that you specify

Daniel: and you can control what landing page they land on

Daniel: Maybe on a blog, or on your blog, etc

Daniel: or on the vendors blog

Daniel: instead of just going directly to the salespage for the product

Jason: Yep we've used this function ourselves to make a ton of money

Jason: While other affiliates are promoting the same thing

Jason: We promo something else that leads through to the same order
page

Jason: But we can tailor the message

Jason: The problem is everything thinks this is a lot of "work“. Heh.

Jason: So I'm interested to see what you do.

Daniel: just by changing the page you link to with the Stealth Redirection

Daniel: and when you click on those exit pop-ups, they bring you to
another page?

Daniel: Well, very often…

Daniel: I find that these exit pop-ups lead to a special discount page.

Daniel: Can you see where I'm going with this?

Jason: Yep

Jason: Why not send the traffic direct?

Jason: And frame it around a "I got you a discount" angle...

Daniel: Yeah. So everyone else is sending their traffic to the standard


salespage. Their customers are paying full price.

Daniel: Or you do an SEO product review for launch jacking the product
name

Daniel: You say... listen....

that I leverage this.

Daniel: You use a viral traffic plugin

Daniel: like WP-Sharely, or PayWithATweet, where people have to share


something, maybe your product review, before you give them the
discount link

Daniel: and your review and discount page go viral!

Jason: Ahhh

Jason: So other people are sharing your affiliate link?

Jason: for you?

Daniel: Yeah! Well, you can get them to share your affiliate link, or you
can get them to share your discount page or product review page…
Either way works.

Daniel: And when other people click on their friends recommendation

Daniel: to see what they're sharing

Daniel: they see the viral button. With that they have to click and share
to get the same discount

Daniel: And it goes on and on.

Daniel: An easy way to get more exposure to your discount link.

Jason: Yes, so not only do they share it but it entices the ones they share
it with to also share it.

Jason: Meanwhile you're the one getting commissions

Daniel: I don't use this much, but it's good for lazy people

Daniel: These sites rank quite highly in Google for a lot of terms

Daniel: So, you have a special discount link

Daniel: that leads to a special discount page that no one else has

Daniel: and you're using a tool that not that many people are using

Daniel: You spread your discount link on all these discount sites

Daniel: and they rank for discount keywords that people are searching
for and looking to buy stuff for

Daniel: Like product name discount, product name coupon, etc.

Daniel: There are a ton of discount and coupon sites out there

Daniel: and you can tap into their ranking power and traffic

Daniel: and get multiple search engine results

Daniel: just by spreading your link

Jason: Yes so this works great for physical products BTW

Jason: If you have a rep at a place like slickdeals.net - then you can
share it

Jason: and it will blow up... sometimes thousand of people will buy -
especially if it's a legit discount that most people can't get

Daniel: Yeah. That's definitely cool!

Daniel: Just one small tweak, and you have some money coming in

Jason: Awesome. As we wrap up you got one more trick for us?

Daniel: Hmm... Well, I actually have several more. But I guess time won't
permit.

Daniel: So, can I talk about retargeting. How to use ERS to do


retargeting?

Jason: Yes, that'd be great!

04. Easy Retargeting
Daniel: Well, as you know retargeting is hot right now.

Daniel: It's basically showing your ads to people who have clicked on
your product link and expressed interest in what you have to offer.

Daniel: So they get cookied by a retargeting cookie from a fired

Daniel: and you can then track them and show ads to them over and
over again for the product that they were interested in but somehow
didn't buy... until they buy it

Daniel: Retargeting is hot right now. Especially on Facebook.

Daniel: There are a lot of ways you can do retargeting.

Daniel: Facebook let's you include a retargeting pixel on pages on your
site, so you can track visitors who went to certain pages

Daniel: But there are hardly any options out there that allow you to
retarget people who visit third-party websites through your link. Am I
right?

Jason: Yes, like, it's very hard to do so to say our Amazon products

Jason: because Amazon doesn't allow me to add a tracking pixel to


their site.

Daniel: Yeah. So a sneaky little thing you can do is...

Daniel: I haven't gotten a lot into this yet. I'm still playing around with it.
But it's cool stuff.

Daniel: You put your tracking pixel for retargeting on your own page on
your site

Daniel: For people product you want to promote, you create a separate
page

Daniel: put your tracking pixel, and then use a stealth redirection to drop
some cookies

Daniel: That way you can track your progress across third party sites.

Daniel: Another way you can do it more simply is to use a Promo


Redirection link

Daniel: Promo Redirections allow you to add some HTML.

Daniel: When people click on the link, the html triggers, before they get
sent to the redirection page you intended.

Daniel: Something I have done is…

Daniel: In Easy Redirection Script, you can set the amount of time
people are held on the promo redirect to let the html trigger.

Daniel: You can actually set the time to 0 seconds

Jason: Ahhh

Daniel: This way, there's hardly any wait time.

Daniel: So, that's just a neat and inexpensive way to do retargeting for
people who don't have a high budget for more expensive tools out
there.

Jason: Yes makes sense.

Jason: The promo redirect is where you put your tracking pixel.

Daniel: Yeah.

Daniel: Just put your tracking pixel in the ERS promo redirection box for
HTML code

Daniel: and set the time to 0 seconds
