REPORT ON COMMUNITY MAPPING

School is said to be a place where learning takes place, thus student’s

learning is a great accomplishment to every school. Student’s learning and
achievement does not only happen in classrooms. Parents, ,families and school
communities should be active contributors to their children’s learning. They need to
base their decisions on comprehensive, good quality achievement ,information about
students’ knowledge, abilities and learning needs. However, accomplishments of
school as a basic institution within the community have different dimensions and
components to improve and address. In order for these to improve not only the
academic achievements but also the number of students in school, shared efforts
is required. For these, the following are the endeavors by the teachers such as
Community Mapping in the following feeder Barangays of Zaragoza namely;
Carmen, Pantoc, Gen Luna, H. Romero, Sta. Cruz, Manaol Malabon Kaingin and
San Isidro and some Barangays in the municipality of Aliaga and Jaen was
conducted last February 10,2020.

Teacher asked permission to the Baranggay Captain in designated

baranggay to conduct community mapping. The main purpose of the said activity is
to gather data of students to be enrolled in our school, and to ensure all of them to
have the right to education. As a support from the Baranggay, the teacher assigned
in the respective area was asked to conduct mapping with the help of the BHW’s.

Last February 10, 2020, teacher listed down names of the families surveyed
and encouraged parents to continue their supports by sending their children in
school. Furthermore, the parents of the children who were presently not enrolled
were advised to send their children in school for the betterment of the children’s
future.

Student mapping has also equipped the faculty and staff of the institution to
be prepared with a new number of enrolees and how to deal with them this new
normal class. Furthermore, student mapping has beeb a great eye opener to the
society on the status of learners when it comes to digital technology and access to
education knowing we are now on a fast paced living.The enrolment data of CHNS
rise up both from JHS and SHS.
