MY REFLECTION ON THE WELCOME ADDRESS OF FR.

PRESIDENT:
As a freshman, I felt like I belonged at HNU because in his speech, the university
president, Fr. Ruel F. Lero SVD, PhD, MAT, greeted everyone with open arms. I appreciate
that the university welcomes students despite this pandemic. In addition, I am grateful to
be a member of this institution where everyone, staff and students, collaborated to provide
a better learning environment. As the president emphasizes, “we only serve as facilitators;
it is up to the students to do their best”, I set a goal for myself to give my all. Finally, I
anticipate receiving a quality education from the university.

MY REFLECTION ON GENESIS: THE CREATION OF THE WORLD:

The video reminds me that when we truly love someone, we tend to do everything
we can to ensure their happiness. Similarly, God loves us so much that he gives us life and
nature as a gift. I wonder why God lavishes us with his unfathomable love; after all, what
more can we ask of him than guidance throughout our lives? In God’s hands, I do believe
that everything is possible. Finally, I realized that if we want to make something from
nothing, we must do it step-by-step or one at a time, just as God did on the day of The
Creation.
