Abstract: The study determined the effectiveness of small group
cooperative learning strategy in teaching mathematics and in
developing attitude toward mathematics. This is an
experimental study which focused on finding out the effect of
cooperative learning model on the achievement scores and
attitudes of Grade VI pupils toward mathematics. Based on the
findings of the study, Small Group Cooperative Strategy is more
effective than the Traditional Whole Group Instruction in the
pupil’s learning of mathematics.
