According to Sujata Saxena and A.S. M Raja (2013), Dyes derived from natural materials such as plant
leaves, roots, bark, insect secretions, and minerals were the only dyes available to mankind for the coloring of
textiles until the discovery of the first synthetic dye in 1856. Rapid research strides in synthetic chemistry
supported by the industrialization of textile production not only led to the development of synthetic
alternatives to popular natural dyes but also to a number of synthetic dyes in various hues and colors that
gradually pushed the natural dyes into oblivion. However, environmental issues in the production and

Malunggay (Moringa Oleifera) plant is abundant through the Philippines. This plant is growing
anywhere in the country. There are a lot of scientific evidence shows malunggay benefits both on
nutritional contents and medicinal properties. Malunggay is well known as very good source of
natural energy booster and nutrition. Universities around the world have studied the malunggay
abilities. A powder seed can be substitute for water purification. Malunggay can help on balancing and
keeping all important body hormones that contributes for relaxation. The leaf is said to be the most
nutritious part, it may be taken cooked, raw and even powdered. In fact, the use also of Moringa leaf
