1. Find the x and y components of the following vectors.

a. 100N, 30° W of N

b. 50N South

c. 10m to the left

d. 30m going down

2. Using the component method of adding vectors, find the resultant of the following
vectors: 50m to the right, 40m down, and 30m, 30o east of north.

3. Find the sum, the magnitude of the resultant and the resultant Angle of these four
vectors: A = 5j, B = 6i, C = -5j, and D = -4i + 2j.

4. Using component method of getting the resultant of vectors, find the resultant of the
following vectors: 7N along the positive x axis, 5N making an angle of 35o with the x
axis, and 3N, 36o South of West.
