Multi-Purpose Gauge / Master Paint Plate

Caltech Engineering Services offers multi-purpose gauge / master paint plate a very useful
gauge for cross cut adhesion testing. This gauge is also useful for determination of wet film
thickness and also used to determine sagging properties.

Complete master paint plate has following features:

 Multi-purpose / Master Paint Plate surface testing equipment: Cross-cut tester also has
X Cut testing facilities for the adhesion assessment of thin and thick single or multi coat
systems, applicator for the preparation of wedge-shaped layers of coating materials,
sagging applicator for determining the sagging properties and wet-film thickness gauge
for testing the film thickness.

 6 different cross-cut tests with easy positioning by use of vision panel integrated in one.

 Instrument, amongst others the lattice pattern with 6 cuts or 11 cuts according to
standard method. Master Paint Plate is made of stainless steel.

Choice Cross Cut Testing

 Method A (X-cut) for test as per ASTM D 3359 / D 6677. Optional adhesive tape need
to be purchased.
 Method B (lattice pattern) for test as per ISO 2409 standard tape is supplied
