Q NO 2 Solution:

(c) The equilibrium nitrogen adsorption isotherm data obtained at 77 K


for a sample of a carbon adsorbent is shown in Table Q2. Assess the
suitability of at least two types of theoretical isotherm that may be
used to describe these data. To get A12 and A21, GE/(RTx1x2) was
plotted versus x.
Linearizing, A12 would correspond to the intercept and A21 would correspond to the sum of the slope and
A12.
