WHAT IS LOW-CODE
DEVELOPMENT?
Low-code development is a class
of technology that provides users
with graphical tools for designing
an application or system along
with required input, output, and
business logic.
To put it more simply, Low-code is a visual
software development method where users
use drag-and-drop components for
development.
Low-code uses much less coding than
a traditional programming, instead it
focuses on the reuse of code.
WHY LOW-CODE?
The appetite for software in many
businesses is growing constantly and there
aren’t enough developers to satiate it.
Professional developers are few and far
between.
By all accounts, the disparity
between surging digital demand
and the supply of experienced
developers is only set to increase.
Low-code development helps solve the
demand and supply problem of software
development by making the process faster,
more efficient and relatively easy to
traditional development.
Most employers find it challenging to
find and hire technical talent, eventually
forced to settle for subpar candidates
even when they don’t meet the job
description requirements.
The low-code development approach is
simple enough for beginners to build high
value apps and sophisticated enough to
meet the needs of professional developers
tackling complex challenges.
Low-code approach eases
the workload on developers
and engages other users in
collaboration so as to work
and build faster.
WHO NEEDS LOW-CODE?
The thing to note about low-code
development is that even though they
require less code, they still require
some code.
Low-code development has
greater appeal to developers or
IT specialists than someone
with no coding experience.
Low-code development requires a
significant amount of experience in coding
or, at the very least, basic programming
foundations.
