Smoking cigarettes can cause fatal damages to our body. With
each inhalation, smoke brings chemical substances to the
body’s tissues. These chemicals will gradually damage the
tissues and could cause not only lung infections but other
diseases such as heart attack, stroke, and so much more.
2. Why is inflamed airway dangerous?
When our airway is inflamed, it will affect the passage of the air
from going in and out of the lungs which will cause difficulties
in breathing. Airway inflammation is also a component of many
chronic diseases in children.
3. How can you prevent diseases related to the respiratory
system?
In order to prevent such respiratory diseases, we must avoid
smoking regularly or better to stop smoking at all. Eating
foods that are good for your lungs is also advisable. Due to
the global pandemic the we are currently facing which
critically targets our respiratory system, we should always
wear face masks and face shields, maintain proper hygiene
and social distancing to not get infected by the virus and
cause further body complications.
