the pandemic.

This new series from NETFLIX directly mirrors on what the world has been
through from the pre-pandemic up until now. It’s a series about a devastating virus from
nature that leads people to distrust one another, go into hiding (quarantine for us in
reality), allow their fear to drive their decisions, and ultimately form unexpected bonds.
This series was a great past time for me while having my summer class at the same time
congress works. I really love dystopian genre because I’m more into stories relating to
society where there is great suffering or injustice. I realized a lot from this series one of
which is to never lose hope. It may have caused me fear because I think from what is
happening now their fictional world is somehow possible. But the plot and the characters
give me hope in this time of pandemic that this is just a challenge to humanity and for sure
this crisis will lead us to a better future.
From the line in one of its episode “As the world slipped into chaos, something else
was happening, something EXTRAORDINARY”, it opened my mind and my eyes to look for
the beauty in this trying times. This course taught me this also that to see what is fine and
beautiful from what is not and what is good quality from poor. In simple words this series
taught me to see hope amidst this trying times.
