b. Artificial Intelligence g. John Presper Eckert Jr.
c. Floppy Disk h. Douglas Engelbart
d. Fortran i. Steve Russel
e. Tabulating Machine j. Jack Kilby
A 1. One of the machines that Charles Babbage invented and designed, it’d had been
programmed the usage of punch-cards and could have covered capabilities along with
consecutive control, loops, conditionals and branching. If constructed, it has been the first
“computer” as we think about them today.

E 2. Invented by Herman Hollerith used for 1890 U.S. CENSUS

B 3. Allan Turing considered as Father of theoretical computer science and was invented the
__?

1. Differentiate computer to a mobile phone?

Cellphones are usually smaller and more compact in size compared to computers.
Phones are also designed to be easier to carry compared to computers. And due to the
size differences computers are usually more powerful and have larger memory capacity
compared to phones.

2. How do the four functions of the computer perform?

An input device collects data at its source or point of measurement. Then the data is
sent form the input device it is then processed into either stored data or information.
After that the output processing sends information to a display in a screen or a printer or
a speaker or some other medium that human senses can interpret. Finally, the storage
stage can occur directly from or to the processing or the output stages.

3. Based on the content of limitations of computer and capabilities of computer, can you site
other limitations and capabilities?
Other limitations are that most computers are not easily carriable, even if you have
laptops and tablets, they require bags for easier carrying. Most computers depend on
user input. Other capabilities are adaptability, meaning the computer can adapt to
completing different types of tasks. Accuracy, computers can complete actions precisely.

4. Give two disadvantages of using computer in terms of health risks and give an example.
Using too much of computers can damage your eyes due to the light of the computer
straining the eyes due to staring too much. Another is due to the fact that computers are
mostly used while sitting down, it can produce health problems with the heart due to lack
of exercise and spine due to sitting for too long.

5. Define the two behavioral health risk of computer addiction and technology overload. Give an
example.
Information overload, using the internet too much can lead to overloading your brain to
a point where productivity can be damaged due to being constantly distracted. And
Compulsion, where people spend too much time to certain things such as games and
gambling, making you unable to spend more time on other things. Both of these can also
damage relations with people you know or care about.
