Applies to Version 6.12 and earlier.

Solution

Sym phony Clientincludes tw o buttons (w iperon)and (w iperoff)on the PTZ Controls interface.You can use these buttons to activate and deactivate
auxiliary functions on the device,such as a w iper.

• The firstbutton can startthe w iper.

• The second button can stop the w iper.

Enabling ControlButtons

By default,the controlbuttons are hidden in the PTZ Controlinterface.

 To enable thefbuttons in the PTZ Controls interface:

1. Edit% appdata% \Aim etis\acc.inifile.

2. Add the follow ing param eterunder[M ain]:

EnablePTZButtons=True

3. Save the acc.inifile and restartSym phony Clientforthe changes to take effect.

 Reconfiguring ControlButtons

The com m ands forthe buttons can be reconfigured using the M anualConfiguration Editor.

To reconfigure the buttons:

1. StartSym phony Client.

2. From the Serverm enu,selectM anualConfiguration Editor.
3. Click Add a new setting...in the firstrow to activate the cells.
4. Forthe O n button,enterthe follow ing in the firstrow :

Type=Camera, Section=PTZ, ID=<your camera id>, Key=StartWiper, Value= ff01000900010b (example value).

5. ForO ffbutton,enterthe follow ing in the second row :

Type=Camera, Section=PTZ, ID=<your camera id>, Key=StopWiper, Value= ff01000b00010d (example value).

6. To confirm yourentry,click the Action cell.

7. Click O K.
