Anecdote Outline: Singing in public.

I. Introduction-I was 12 years old when I had to sing in public.


A. My experience singing in public.
B. My family and friends were there the day I sang in public.
C. I have to change the lyrics of the song, prepare, and present in public.
II. Body- Singing in public was a great challenge because I was always afraid to speak in
public, but it helped me a lot to overcome that fear.
A. I will tell you how to change the lyrics of the music to make it
more educational, because I was going to sing at school.
1. I changed a lot of words in the song because it wasn't educational at
all, this took me a long time because I had to think about how to replace
the word.
2. The lyrics of the song had to give a positive message and be understood
very easily.
B. I will tell you how I prepared to sing in public.
1. I met with my schoolmate and we practiced the song many times, until we
learned the lyrics of the song.
2. When I was at home, I would just practice the song and memorize the
lyrics, sometimes my cousins helped me.
C. I would tell you how my presentation was in front of all the public.
1. During the presentation I was very nervous, my hands were sweating and
my voice level was very low.
2. In the end the nerves were gone and I managed to sing the song and
receive a good grade.
III. Conclusion- In general it was very difficult at the beginning because I saw it very
difficult to sing in public out of fear, but in the end, I managed to sing and get a good
grade.
A. It was a mandatory assignment, I must choose a song and change the lyrics and
sing it in public.
B. Singing in public helped me to have less fear when speaking in public.
C. It was a difficult but very beneficial experience.
