asylum

The month of March, in the year 2020, everything was still fine. Students go to school to
learn, friends hangout with each other, grown-ups attempt to meet life’s high demands.
“A new virus outbreak called SARS-COV is spreading widely”
“It is believed to originate from China”
“Many people are being infected”
“Philippines has recorded 30,000 cases as of now”
“The whole Philippines to be placed under ECQ”
“Businesses, particularly small ones, are being affected”

The unforeseen and unwanted catastrophe has affected the lives of many. Every country has
recorded a death due to the virus, people are suffering, a lot lost their jobs, and others are barely
making it through this calamity.
A disaster does not know any political and social boundaries, however, it is inevitably true that
others have it harder. Job loss is a major problem for many. Earning money is harder than before.
People’s holistic wellness is decreasing. This pandemic hits us hard.

A year later, the threat that the virus still lingers. The whole world, especially the people of the
Philippines, still find themselves locked up in an asylum, deprived of their rights to exercise the
way of life. But we must breathe, it does not take a blink to make everything disappear. May our
wishes for this catastrophe for this to end, be heard.
