I Corinthians 4:1-3

Stewardship of the Gospel

Let a man so consider us, as servants of Christ and stewards of the mysteries of God. Moreover it is
required in stewards that one be found faithful. But with me it is very small thing that I should be judged
by you or by a human court. In fact, I do not even judge myself.

Stewardship in Greek word “oikonomia” – administration of household or state

especially a religious economy.

1. Ministers as stewards
a. Stewards of the mysteries of God

c. Gift to minister it to another

2. Stewards are accountable to God Luke 19:13
a. We are stewards not owners
b. Accountability of stewards
1. Accountable to multiply the blessing of God
2. Accountable to develop the gift of God in your life
3. It is required to stewards that one be found faithful
a. Faithfulness required
b. Faithfulness in responsibility
c. Faithfulness in duty
d. Be faithful until death and I will give you the crown of
life. Revelation 2:10
