Overview

At cut-e (“cut-e,” or “we,” “our”, or “us”), we are committed to protecting the confidentiality,
integrity and accuracy of any personal information you provide to us. We always strive to safeguard
such information from loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure and/or alteration. We only
collect personal information that is relevant for our described purpose. The aim of this Data Privacy
Notice is to inform you of the nature of our processing of your personal data, and inform you of
important rights in relation to this.

2. Purpose 

The purpose of our processing of your personal data is the successful delivery of our testing system,
which we offer on the instruction of our contractual partner (that being, the entity for which you
complete this assessment) on the basis of our contractual agreement. This involves the following:

Providing our testing modules;

Optimization & Statistical Analysis (your personal data will be anonymized);

Technical provision of our service. 

The legal basis for our processing of your personal data is Article 6(1)(b) of Regulation (EU)
2016/679. Not providing your personal data will unfortunately mean that you are not able to use our
service.

3. Categories of Personal Data

cut-e collects specific personal data for our purpose, as instructed by our contractual partner. This
personal data can be defined in the following categories:

Identification information (e.g., title, first and last name, date of birth, gender)

Technical Information (e.g., public IP address, time and date of access, browser activities,
browser settings and Log-In ID data. This is used solely for security purposes, namely authentication
and input control.)

Assessment Information (e.g., your answers, test duration) 


4. Storing of your Personal Data 

cut-e does not store your personal data for any longer than we need to for our above stated
purpose. cut-e only stores your personal information for a period of time reasonable for our
purposes of processing, and/or a period of time that is required of us by law.

5. Recipients of your Personal Data 

cut-e does not independently share your personal data with any specific third party or persons, aside
from the business entity with which we have a contractual arrangement and for whom you have
completed this test.

6. Automated decision making and/or Profiling

We do not employ systems based solely on automated decision making processes and/or profiling,
and your personal data will be subjected to human made decisions. However, your personal data
may be used by us to facilitate us in practices involving automated decision making and/or profiling.
cut-e assessment systems utilize automated decision making as a tool to distinguish candidates,
streamline our systems and optimize our services as instructed by our contractual partner.
Our reason behind performing these automated tasks is to take your assessment responses and
compare these with developed research models and industry knowledge, which we have developed
through our superior statistical, scientific and psychological expertise. For example, your input into
initial tests may be calculated to decide automatically whether you are suitable to move onto further
tests.

If you wish to obtain human intervention in the automated decisions and/or profiling made by cut-e,
you wish to express your point of view and/or you wish to contest a decision made in this context,
please contact the business entity for which you will complete this test.

7. Requests, Comments and Complaints

7.3 Requests

You have many rights available to you in relation to our processing of your personal data. These

7.3.1 Access to your data, pursuant to Article 15 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679

You have the right to request information as to whether we are processing personal data concerning
you, and subsequent access to this personal data.

7.3.2 Rectification of your data, pursuant to Article 16 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679

You have the right to the rectification of your personal data that is inaccurate or incomplete, this
includes by means of a supplementary statement.

7.3.3 Erasure of your data, pursuant to Article 17 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679

You have the right to ask us for the erasure of your personal data, where no exemption for retaining
the personal data applies.

 
7.3.4 Restriction of our processing of your data, pursuant to Article 18 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679

You have the right to request a restriction on the processing of your personal data in particular
circumstances.

7.3.5 Data Portability, pursuant Article 20 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679

In some circumstances, you may be entitled to request that your personal data be provided to you in
a machine readable format. This right to data portability includes the right to have your personal
data transferred directly to another controller.

preferred course of action would be to contact your Controller. If you wish to contact us, we will
take your individual request seriously, but are contractually obligated to share your request with our

7.4 Complaints 

You maintain the right to submit a complaint to a supervisory authority relating to our processing of
