I. TITLE

Implementation of Depression Treatment Program among Depressive Senior

Citizens in Barangay Ogob

II. OBJECTIVES

The general objective of this project is to reduce and prevent the Senior Citizens

of Barangay Ogob from suffering depression. At the end of this project the following specific

objectives are expected to be implemented:

 Reduce/decrease the number of depression cases in Barangay Ogob

 Emphasize the importance of addressing depression

 Provide concrete and reliable information about depression

 Reduce the mortality rate of depression

 Provide knowledge about depression coping strategies

 Address the impacts of depression

 Prevent the rising cases of depression

 Improve the management of depression

 Increase the awareness of Senior Citizens about the impacts of depression

 Understand the causes/sources of depression

 Determine the effectiveness of treatment plan to address depression

 Indicate the treatment and medication in addressing

III. NO. OF PARTICIPANTS

This project covers the depressive Senior Citizens of Barangay Ogob. The

proponent will randomly choose twenty (20) depressive Senior Citizens who will be

joining the Depression Treatment Program.

IV. TOPIC OUTLINER

This Depression Treatment Program among Senior Citizens of Barangay Ogob, will

help them in addressing, preventing, and managing depression. Towards this end, the following

topics are expected to be discussed:

 Depression Overview

 Signs and Symptoms

 Impacts of Depression

 Risk factors and Causes of Depression

 Who are at high risk of depression

 Treatment and Prevention

 Medications

 Antidepressants

V. METHODOLOGIES AND STRATEGIES

This Depression Treatment Program aims to address, manage, and prevent the cases

among the depressive senior citizens in Barangay Ogob. The proponent aims to perform the

depression treatment program using the lecture method. Hence, the proponent is expected to:

 Deliver the information in the most coherent and logical way

 Begin by catching the people’s interest

 Follow a prepared outline in delivering knowledge and information

 Design different methods and strategies to prevent boredom

 Create a fascinating and captivating teaching style

 Connect with the participants by telling stories

 Deliver the lessons with regards to the present happenings nowadays

 Allow the participants to have enough time to process the information and ask questions

 Be guided by the participants

 Observed good interpersonal relationships with the participants

After the discussion, the proponent is expected to assess the participant by conducting an

informal interview.
