High Efficiency Bandpass Design
The BPS12-1K and BPS15-1K were developed to
complement the outstanding sonic performance of
Renkus-Heinz Complex Conic loudspeaker systems in
applications needing additional low frequency
reinforcement. They feature a high efficiency 7th order
bandpass design that offers excellent loudspeaker
loading and minimizes over excursion problems in
compact, high performance enclosures. The enclosures
were designed to blend well into any setting. They are
constructed from 13-ply, cross-laminate hardwood,
heavily braced to eliminate vibrations and resonances.
Large ports minimize vent noise. The result is clean
"punchy" bass with excellent transient response.
Although designed primarily for use with Complex Conic
loudspeakers, their compactness and outstanding
performance make the BPS12-1K and BPS15-1K ideal
whenever high impact subwoofers are needed.
High Power Woofers
The heavy duty woofers used in the BPS12-1K and
BPS15-1K were developed specifically for use in high
power subwoofers. They feature 4" edge wound voice
coils, rigid cones and massive magnetic structures in a
"long-throw" design that assures linear movement even at
high power levels. These subwoofers easily deliver peak
output SPL levels of 126 dB and 130 dB.

Outstanding Transient Response
The high-order bandpass design of the BPS12-1K and
BPS15-1K provides excellent loading for the high
power woofers and minimizes over excursion
problems. The result is tight, high definition bass with
excellent tramsient response. The large vents and the
flared openings minimize air turbulence within the ports
and further add to the outstanding performance of
these subwoofers.
Wide Choice of Options
The BPS12-1K and BPS15-1K are available
customized for either portable applications or for use in
fixed installations. Portable models are normally
carpeted in black and provided with handles and either
4 or 8-pin Neutrik Speakon connectors. Options
include a side mounted tripod socket that allows the
cabinet to be used as a loudspeaker stand. Fixed
installation models are normally painted black and
provided with screw terminals and mounting hardware
in place of the Neutrik connectors and handles. The
mounting hardware system provides 16 3/8-16
mounting points that allow the easy installation of
these cabinets in any plane. Popular finish options
include white and natural (unfinished to allow staining).
Added cost finish options include custom paint colors
and weather resistant treatment.

TECHNICAL HIGHLIGHTS

subwoofers like the BPS12-1 and

10 dB gain at the port frequencies.
