Brinkman has designed complete lines of grafting clips for all horticultural crops.
The growing conditions of the seedlings depend strongly on the light conditions and
temperature. In the northern countries with winter planting the seedlings are normally softer
and longer and in the southern countries with a warmer (Mediterranean) climate, with high
light intensities and higher temperature the seedlings are shorter and harder. Under these
different growing conditions also different grafting clips are required.

Brinkman has developed different lines of grafting clips for both climate conditions. The
PT7 line is specially developed for grafting softer seedlings of tomato, pepper, eggplant or
cucumber. These grafting clips are available in sized from 1.2 mm till 2.5 mm.
The PT2 and PT2B lines are developed for grafting seedlings of tomato, pepper and
eggplant grown under conditions with high light and temperature conditions. Sizes available
from 1.2 mm till 3.5 mm. For the bigger sizes 2.2 mm till 3.5 mm both PT2 and PT2B can
be delivered ondemand. The PT2B is a little bit softer than the PT2 and has an oval shaped
hole in closed position and round hole in open

The cucurbits have different grafting methods and for this reason also a specially designed
grafting clip for each grafting method. Melons and watermelons can be grafted on pumpkin,
squash or bottle gourd rootstocks. Most used grafting methods are splice graft or Japanese
graft and the approach graft.

For the splice graft method we have the special PS1P grafting clip. For the approach graft
the models PS2 and PS3 (small, normal and big sizes) are available. The grafting clips can
be delivered in different colors, this makes easier to difference the lots.

Grafting is still in evolution and for this reason Brinkman continues developing grafting clips
and in close contact with nurseries all around the world.
