Getting Started
This guide is an introduction to RoC, for players who
have not yet participated in the competition. Here we
will not get into overall alliance strategy - but rather go
over the basic gameplay for RoC Season one, and how to
get started in the app.

BASIC RoC PAGES / INFO Navigating...
Let’s start by going over the RoC Event
pages. You can access these by going outside
of your castle, and clicking on the special
(RoC Season) icon once the event has began.

There are 4 Main Pages: Season, Territory,

Honor Structures, and Specialty.

You will probably visit each of these pages

daily, so get familiar with them as soon as
possible.
PAGE: SEASON OVERVIEW
The [SEASON] page is where you will be able to
see overall rankings for each alliance. At the top
will be listed where your alliance ranks, as well as
the overall score for your alliance.

From here, you can go to:

[Alliance Intel]

[View Rewards] ------Shown Here----->

[Declare War]
PAGE: ALLIANCE INTEL
Alliance Intel is where you can view your individual points,
as well as those of your teammates. There is an option to
view either by member’s overall contribution - or simply
what has been contributed during the current week. By
clicking on a members avatar, you will be able to see a
breakdown of how they have earn their points.

From here you can also view War Declaration Records as

well as the current [truce timer] settings.

TRUCE TIMER: Each alliance is allowed to select a window

of protection - when nobody can declare war on them. It is
advised that alliance leaders choose the window when there
is the least amount of members online and available to
defend.
PAGE: DECLARE WAR
Once TOTAL WAR opens, alliance leaders will be able
to declare wars against opponents who are not currently
protected from war.

Clicking [Declare War] will bring you to the declaration

page, where currently available opponents are listed
with the option to declare against them. It is always
better to declare against another alliance, rather than
waiting for someone to declare war against your own.

You can view a record of all previous wars from the

current season, by clicking on the [i] icon at the top of
this page.
PAGE: TERRITORY
The [TERRITORY] page shows information about the
tiles you have occupied, how many tiles you have
available and also your influence ranking. Influence
information is shown at the top, the six territory types
are shown below. By clicking on a type, you can view a
list of which tiles you occupy currently (with an option
to abandon).

From here, you can choose:

[View Rewards]

[Battle Report]

[Harvest]
BATTLE REPORTS / HARVEST
When you click [Battle Report], a list appears - your most
recent RoC Territory Battles. This shows you the results of
tile occupying only, and will not show battle reports from
honor structure attacks (those are listed with your normal
battle reports).

Wins appear in BLUE and losses appear in RED.

Wounded troops from Territory battles are healed at your

Coalition Basecamps.

[HARVEST] should be clicked occasionally. This button

allows you to draw materials from the tiles you occupy. The
materials are stored in your [BAG] after harvesting. You will
need to produce from these raw materials using your
Frontline Workshops.
PAGE: INFLUENCE REWARDS
Influence rankings are determined by your influence
value. This value is affected by how many territories you
have occupied and of what level. You gain more
influence from occupying higher level tiles. You are
ranked against other members of your province.

Being a top Influencer will earn you [multipliers] which

of course - helps to multiply your Contribution Points.

Players are also awarded a certain amount of gold at the

end of each tally period, determined by their ranking.

Any rewards that are unclaimed will be lost forever.

PAGE: HONOR STRUCTURE
The [HONOR STRUCTURE] page is a quick menu for all of
your honor structures. Here you can view the level of each
structure as well as activity such as upgrades, healing and
materials processing. If there are structures left that you still
need to build, there will be an option to do so at the bottom of
this list.

From here, you can go to:

[Production]

[Heal]

[View Individual Structures]

PAGE: PRODUCTION
When you go to [PRODUCTION] you see the materials you
have available for processing and you are able to start, stop and
collect from a processing slot.

Processing each of the raw materials that were harvested from

your occupied tiles will grant you two things: [Supplies required
for Honor Structure upgrades] / [Additional RSS of a specific
type].

We all start with only ONE processing slot, however you can
unlock additional slots through specialty points allocation.

Medical Supplies upgrade: Coalition Base Camps.

Building Supplies upgrade: Frontline Workshops / Fortresses.

PAGE: COALITION BASE CAMP
When you go to [HEAL] the game will show you all of the wounded
troops that are currently in your Coalition Base Camps. During RoC,
these basecamps will act as your medical tents for all tile battles.

Is important: Wounded from tile battles end up in your Coalition Base

Camp / Wounded from Structure and Siege battles end up in your
regular Medical Tents.

The healing process here is slow - but you will eventually gain all these
troops back if you heal them. Using the [regeneration serum] supplied
by your Institute of War can help to speed up the process.

At the end of a season, all troops that remain in your Coalition Base
Camps are automatically healed and returned to your troop count.
PAGE: SPECIALTY
The [SPECIALTY] page is comparative to your Research
Institute or your Class Manual. Here, you can see what level
of RoC Specialty you have reached as well as choose
between three [skill tree] in which to invest your [specialty
points]. Specialty points are earned when you reach the
next level. You increase your level by earning [honor]. Each
of the three skill trees can be opened by clicking on the
icons.

From here, you can also choose:

[Specialty Statistics]

[Active Skill]

[Increase Specialty] -----Shown Here----->

STATISTICS / ACTIVE SKILL
By clicking [Specialty Statistics] you can view a listing of the
overall buffs you have through your allocation of Specialty Skill
Points. The buffs that are listed here are PASSIVE and will have a
continuous effect throughout the RoC season.

Clicking on [Active Skill] will show you any ACTIVE skills that
you have unlocked through your allocation of Specialty Skill
Points. Active skills must be triggered before they can take affect,
and will require a [cooldown] period between each use.
SPECIALTY SKILL TREES
After your earn skill points, you should invest them in a specialty skill
tree of your choice. There are three different skill trees available for
use, and they each offer a different set of active and passive skills.

There is available: Resource Specialty, Construction Specialty, and

Combat Specialty

You are granted 2 [specialty reset] tickets at the beginning of RoC

Season ONE. And an additional ticket at the beginning of each
subsequent season. You can use one of these tickets to reset all of your
allocated specialty points.

Your specialty level and the way in which you have allocated your skill
points will be saved at the end of each RoC season. When the next
season begins, your Specialty Level and Skills will be the same as they
were at the end of the previous season.

WHEN RoC SEASON ONE BEGINS...
It is best for your alliance, if at least one alliance leader can be available
at RESET on the day that RoC Season ONE opens. That leader can
place the Alliance Centers (Best to do so as soon as possible, before you
lose the spot you wanted).

ANY r4/r5 can be the one to place Alliance Centers 1 - 4.

[Loose Rocks] must be donated towards the construction of each

Alliance Center, and will be one of the first things you do as an
individual. You can donate rocks by going to the Alliance Building Page.

ONLY donate rocks during an active season, as anything donated

outside of the season does not earn you contribution points.

Individuals will also have to build their [Institute of War]. This is a RoC
specific building that will appear as available upon the opening of
Season ONE.
ALLIANCE CENTERS / ZONES
Alliance Centers are the main bases for your alliance. There are FOUR
of these centers available to each alliance. Each of the Alliance Centers is
built within a corresponding [ZONE]. Zone ONE is around the outside
edge of the map, with zone FOUR being the innermost area of the map.
The higher the zone level - the higher level tiles available, and the more
difficult it is to occupy those tiles.

The Alliance Centers each act as a starting point for occupying tiles
within their zones. You begin with tiles that are adjacent to the AC and
work your way out from there.

Alliance members build their [Honor Structures] around the Alliance

Centers. Those structures enable production, healing and battle buffs -
as well as acting as physical defense barriers protecting the Centers.

Once an AC is constructed - it appears on the map overview for all of the

alliance members to locate.
HONOR STRUCTURES
Once an Alliance Center is built - members can construct their honor structures
around the outside of it. When Season ONE begins, each alliance member will be able
to place FOUR structures for AC1, and only TWO structures for each AC2, AC3 and
AC4.

There are FOUR TYPES: Coalition Base Camp, Frontline Workshop, Assault Fortress
and Guardian Fortress.

When Season ONE begins, each member will be limited to only ONE of each type of
Fortress. We will have FOUR of each for Coalition Bases and Workshops.

Because these structures act as barriers in RoC Wars, how your members place their
structures becomes an important topic. Each alliance will have their own plan for
placements - but it is important to note that AC1 is your primary base and will require
more attention to detail than the others.

It is recommended that your team builds AC1 in a corner of the map, for defensive
reasons. This would allow your team to develop a protected [backline] in the corner,
and a [frontline] where you can be sure to face attacks.
COALITION BASE CAMP
Your Coalition Base Camps act as specialty medical tents during
the RoC Season. These bases also provide you with something
called [troop loyalty]. Increasing your [loyalty] will allow you to
take on higher level tiles without the [poison affect].

Upgrading these structures will increase your [troop loyalty] as

well as your overall [HONOR] level.

You can build FOUR Coalition Base Camps, one at each of your
team’s Alliance Centers.

Coalition Base Camps require the use of [Medical Supplies] for

upgrading, as well as basic RSS and gold.
FRONTLINE WORKSHOP
Your Frontline Workshops are what allows you to process the raw
materials harvested from your occupied tiles.

Upgrading these structures will increase processing speed as well

as your overall [HONOR] level and your ability to store raw
materials.

You can build FOUR Frontline Workshops, one at each of your

team’s Alliance Centers.

Frontline Workshops require the use of [Construction Supplies]

for upgrading, as well as basic RSS and gold.
ASSAULT FORTRESS
Your Assault Fortress has two primary functions. It acts as a
barrier to help block attacks on your AC1, and it also provides an
additional [MIGHT] Buff for your troops during RoC Wars.

Upgrading these structures will increase your troops [MIGHT]

during RoC Wars as well as your overall [HONOR] level.

You can build ONE Assault Fortress at first, located at AC1.

Additional Assault Fortresses are available eventually, through

allocation of your Specialty Skill Points.

Assault Fortresses require the use of [Construction Supplies] for

upgrading, as well as basic RSS and gold.
GUARDIAN FORTRESS
Your Guardian Fortress has two primary functions. It acts as a
barrier to help block attacks on your AC1, and it also provides an
additional [RESISTANCE] Buff for your troops during wars.

Upgrading these structures will increase your troops overall

[RESISTANCE] during RoC Wars as well as your overall
[HONOR] level.

You can build ONE Guardian Fortress at first, located at AC1.

Additional Guardian Fortresses are available eventually, through

allocation of your Specialty Skill Points.

Guardian Fortresses require the use of [Construction Supplies]

for upgrading, as well as basic RSS and gold.
TYPES OF TILES
There are SIX types of tiles available for occupying...

Each type of tile grants initial rewards after being taken, and also produces a
steady supply of [RAW MATERIALS] while occupied.

RAW MATERIALS NEED TO BE PROCESSED AT YOUR WORKSHOPS

EMPTY TILES: Produce the material [Hard Tack]

ABANDONED FARMS: Produce the material [Hard Tack]

LOGGING SITES: Produce the material [Crooked Lumber]

BROKEN QUARRY: Produce the material [Chipped Marble]

CRUMBLING MINES: Produce the material [Rusted Ignots]

SHABBY DISTILLERY: Produce the material [Horrible Moonshine]

INTERACTING WITH TILES
You will have to occupy tiles in order of level (like with the Monsters). Starting
with a lvl 1 tile before you can do a lvl 2, and so on, working your way up.

You can only occupy tiles that are adjacent to another tile already occupied by
your alliance (all tiles occupation starts from an AC and works out from there).

GREEN: Your Personal Tiles.

BLUE: Friendly Alliance Member Tiles.

WHITE: Tiles occupied by another alliance in your province.

PURPLE: <BAD> Tiles occupied by an enemy from another province.

Newly Occupied tiles are protected for a 5 minute period of time, during which
they can not be attacked or abandoned. Once a tile is occupied you can interact
with it further. For friendly tiles, you can choose [Garrison] if you want to send
reinforcements. For tiles you occupy you can choose [Strategy] to explore
additional options, or [Abandon] to give up control of the tile.
LOYALTY / REBEL ZEAL
Before you occupy a territory, it is considered to be
guarded by [rebels]. There exists [rebel zeal].

Each tile level offers a certain amount of rebel zeal,

which deals [poison damage] to attacking troops.

Amount of poison damage dealt is percentage based,

and determined by your overall [LOYALTY] level.

The only way to increase your troop’s loyalty is to

upgrade your Coalition Base Camps.

It’s possible to occupy a tile when your loyalty level is

too low, however you are guaranteed to take
substantial losses in the battle (not recommended).
RETAKING TILES (4 POINTS)
OK - so you’re loyalty isn’t high enough to move onto the next tile level.

WHAT DO YOU DO?

You can continue to earn points and occupy tiles (of your highest available level), by
abandoning the ones you already occupied and immediately retaking them.

You will earn the exact same rewards each time, as the first time you took the tile.

You won’t have to look all over the map hunting down new tiles of that level.

MY suggestion would be to make a few bookmarks - of the tiles you want to retake.
Then you can abandon those tiles - and when the timer is up, retake them one at a
time. Theoretically - you can do this every 45 minutes (depending on available
legions’ stamina)
TROOP TIPS HERO HINTS

of quality heroes.
TERRITORY TRAINING
One of the strategy options for occupied tiles is
[training]. Troop training earns you additional honor as
well as large amounts of additional hero experience.

Sending troops to occupy or train on territories

consumes [combat plans]. Your supply of combat plans is
replenished at reset each day.

Special training is when you send a legion to fight on the

tile. It costs the same amount of stamina and combat
plans as occupying the territory does. There are wounded.

TRAINING is a skill you can unlock, this allows you to

send troops to train on the territory for a period of time -
without suffering casualties or wounded.
RoC RELATED QUESTS
Each RoC season there will be a list of RoC related quests to complete. This list
can be found alongside your main quests and daily quests when RoC is
happening. Complete these quests as soon as you can - they offer additional
rewards such as Honor, Tile Expansion Plans and Regeneration Serums.

Focusing on completing the RoC Quests will help you to advance faster, early
on during the RoC season.

TIP: For quests that involve occupying a certain type of tile (X) amount of
times… You can always abandon a tile and retake it after, if you are having
trouble finding more of the same type. It will count that type as being taken
once - each time that you occupy the tile.
ALLIANCE WARS
TOTAL WAR will be open TWO weeks after the start of RoC Season
ONE. During the other seasons, total war opens ONE week after the
start of the season. Alliance leaders can declare war against other
alliances within the same Season, this is usually the same group of
provinces that you face during CoP events.

Leaders must set rally points near enemy bases to begin an attack.
When you declare war and set a rally point in an enemy territory, all
members of your alliance are offered a free TP to the rally point for
attacking. They are also offered a free TP to your AC1 for defending.

RoC wars have a prep phase, and then a 3hr time period. During this
time you can occupy tiles in the enemy area, attack their honor
structures and attack their AC in an attempt to rack up points. At the
end of the war, the alliance with the most points earned will win.

You earn the MOST points by destroying AC1 - AC4 during a war. And
this should be seen as your alliance’s primary objective. You can also
earn points from taking the enemies tiles as well as destroying honor
structures.
THE VIRTUE SHOP
The Virtue Shop is open during RoC Competitions, and can be
found at your [Military Intel] building.

Virtue medals are earned through participation in RoC wars, and

can be traded in for [VIRTUE]. This virtue acts as a currency
and can be spent at you Virtue Shop.

This shop is only available during RoC. If you do not spend the
virtue you have earned by the end of a season, it does not go
away. The amount you left off with will be available for you to
spend the next time the shop opens up.
CONTRIBUTION POINTS
The various points earned through participation during the
RoC Season are added up and put towards your overall
[Contribution Points].

Your alliance rank is determined by the accumulated

contribution points of all members, as well as adjustments
made from either victory or loss during RoC Total War.

You MUST reach a minimum of 10,000 contribution points

by the end of a RoC Season, in order to receive any of the
season rewards.

Any seasonal rewards not able to be distributed are lost

forever. It is important that you push all members of your
team to reach at least the minimum requirement before the
season ends.
THAT’S IT!
THE VERY BASICS OF RoC.

There’s much more to it all, of course. But these basics should be a

good starting point for players who aren’t sure what to expect.
