ACTIVITY #2 BIOECOLOGICAL PERSPECTIVE

This is my family; they have been by my side ever since I was born. They are the ones who influenced me
and the ones who raised me to what I am today. My mother and father who had sleepless nights just to
change my diaper at 3am in the morning, who carries me and sways me to make me stop crying. My
siblings who I argue with and annoy me every day, my cousins who I always laugh with whenever we
bond, and I can lean on to whenever I want to give up. My aunts and uncles who also guides me and gives
me advice for me to be ready for what the future have for me and last but not the list is my grandma who I
treasures the most, she is the person who I can always count on, she is the person who helps us when we
are struggling and gives us pocket money whenever our parents cannot give us. She is the person who I
cannot imagine not seeing walking or hearing her voice in our house.
In the pictures you see above, that was when we celebrated my grandma's birthday, we planned to
surprise her without her noticing that we were cooking the food and setting up the decorations. We gave
100 pesos as a contribution so that we can buy the ingredients and decorations we need, we prepared
every for the entire day and kept being careful because she might catch us, and it will ruin the surprise we
have prepared. When she saw what we prepared for her, she was so shocked and so touched because she
thought that we forgot that it`s her birthday, we sang her a happy birthday song and made her make a
wish before she blows the candle on the cake. We are not that type of family where we are all close and
showy to each other but when it comes to special celebrations, we always are available for each other
specially when it`s Christmas, New Year, All Souls Day, and my grandpas Birthday.
I belong to different groups of friends; I have always been the type of person who gets along with the
people I meet. I always think that I might offend some of my other friends if I don’t bond with them as I
bond with the current group of friends I am with as of the moment. That’s why I always make sure that I
always have time and attention to all of them
In the first picture you see where three of us squatted when we took the picture was that time where we
celebrated our classroom Christmas party. The picture was taken after we have exchanged each other gifts
and have greeted each other Merry Christmas. One of our friends said that we should take a group picture
so that we can remember that special day for us and we could always look at the picture whenever we
miss and long for each other.
In the second picture, that was the time where me and my friends went to Capas Shrine to shoot our
promotional video about wearing proper school uniforms. We finished shooting at 12pm and decided to
walk around the place, as we walk around, we saw a hanging bridge that has a beautiful flower garden
outcross it. Few of my friends fear height and had a hard time crossing the bridge, as they are crossing the
bridge, we teased them by slightly jumping on the bridge causing it to sway left and right making our
friends lose their balance. We were laughing so hard seeing how funny their reaction is and how they
scream while telling us to stop. That time was the happiest moment of my life and the memorable day I
spent with my friends.
These people you see in the pictures are my parent`s friends. They have been friends for many years, their
bond is very strong, and their relationship with one another is beyond the universe to the point where they
share each other's secrets and even help each other when they are having hard times. There`s that one
event where my mom needed a huge amount of money for her to be able to go to this expensive hospital
where they operated my mom, at that time the money that my parents have was not enough to pay the
hospital bills and even though our relatives gave my mom few amounts of money to add in the amount
that my parents have. I saw how stressed and exhausted my parents were from thinking about where to
get the money they need in order to pay the exact amount of the hospital bill, and that is where these
friends of my parents contributed and collected the money that they were willing to donate and help in
paying my mom's hospital bills. They didn’t hesitate in pulling money from their own pockets even
though it's not their responsibility to give the money that they could use to pay for their own needs. I was
so glad because of how kind and thoughtful they were, that is where I have realized that true friends will
always be by your side no matter what situation you are in. If it wasn’t for them, I would possibly have
lost my mom and I cannot imagine how my life would be without my mom.
This topic is very sensitive for those who belong to the community, throughout the years the topic has
been talked about and sometimes one of the reasons for an argument. I have seen how scary it was back
then if you`re part of the community or mostly known as LGBTQ+ community. Way back 5-10 years ago
or even when I was still not born, the way people treat LGBTQ+ people is not very reasonable. Some
even suffer from harassment and bullying; they were not even be able to find a job because some
companies or those who offer jobs don’t accept their application because of their sexual orientation.
Remembering that issue or like the argument back then about a transgender woman was discriminated
because she went to the woman`s comfort room instead of the men`s comfort bathroom considering how
feminine she looks. I was glad when the House of Representatives approved LGBT Rights on
20 September 2017. Knowing how hard it was back then compared today, I am very glad that people
have open their mind and became much more open when it comes to the topic of talking and accepting
other people`s sexual orientation. I am very glad that in our generation today, people are now less pressed
when they see a person who`s Gay or Lesbian walking around their surrounding and even gives them
compliments of how good they look or how confident they are now compared to how closeted and scared
they are back then and I`m so happy that we all have our freedom that we deserve and the equality,
respect, justice we need to be able to live comfortably.

September 16, 2021, the day that I can fully say that I am a freshman college student. That day was the
most nerve-wracking and anxious day I have ever experienced. Me being a college student still feels so
unreal to me, considering how unprepared I am and scared at the same time because our classes are online
classes since the pandemic is still present in our country and face-to-face classes are not yet still advisable
for us students. We are now in our 4th week of synchronous and asynchronous classes and yet I still
couldn’t get used to how things work as a college student, this by far is the biggest change I have had in
my entire 18 years of living. High School is so different from college, especially now knowing that my
first year of college journey is me being at home sitting in a wooden chair, attending my online classes,
trying to catch up with the lessons being discussed and trying my best to focus on what is being presented
on the screen. Closing my eyes for a few seconds because they feel so sore looking at my phone for many
hours and me not eating at the right time because I kept on thinking that I might get late if I waste a single
second not looking at my phone. I hope soon I can get used to this big change of my life; I am not the
type of person who can adjust quickly if something big suddenly changes of how I live my life.
