DESIGN ELEMENTS :
• Strategy: The company's strategy specifies the goals and
objectives to be achieved, as well as the values and missions

to be pursued. TCS follows a cost leadership strategy. The

focus of tcs is to gain a competitive advantage, reduce the
cost of each employee, and achieve economies of scale. This
is why TCS does not pay much attention to research and
development.

determines the position of power and authority in the organization. TCS has a
mechanical structure, which has a formal structure and exercises control over the
employees. Rules, procedures, and authority levels help complete work on time and at
the lowest cost. TCS has a matrix structure in which there are departments based on
specialization. Decision making is centralized.
 Process: TCS has a vertical process. Collect the needs of different departments in a
centralized manner, and determine the priority of budget and resource allocation to
capital, R&D, training, etc. Communication often follows formal channels, and
employees are given specific job descriptions outlining their roles and
responsibilities. Maintain coordination throughout the chain of command.
 Personnel: Personnel describes the human resources policy for recruitment and
selection. Rotation, training and development. A properly combined human resources
policy will generate the necessary talents for the organizational strategy and
structure, thus generating the skills and thinking styles necessary to implement the
selected strategy. The employees of the service organization are the greatest source
of competitive advantage. Consistently invest in learning, actively share knowledge,
and try to transform learning into action.

with the goals of the organization. Provide motivation and incentives to complete the
strategic direction. The organization’s reward system defines policies that regulate
wages, promotions, bonuses, profit sharing, stock options, etc. The reward structure
of TCS mainly focuses on individual performance.
