So now as …… has given a brief discussion of the battle, the battle of bauxer was fought on October 22

1764 at bauxar. Can anyone recall where buxar is located .. Bauxar is a small fortified town located on
the banks of the river Ganga within its territory of Bihar . This battle was fought on the command of
the British English East India company and the nawab of Bengal : Mir Qasim and his allies Shuja ud
daulah who was the then Nawab of Awadh and Shah Alam 2 the Mughal emperor .there were many
reasons for the causes of the battle but the prominent amongst them is that whenMir Jafar who had
asserted his independence as the Nawab of Bengal after the battle of plassey was successful enough in
not granting the britishers the privileges they asked for because of which he was immediately defected
and replaced by Mir Qasim by the britishers hoping that he would be of more reliances . but Mir Qasim
also tuned out to be shrewed enoughnot to grant britishers the privilegesand therefore was at constant
war with them .after fighting 2-3 battles Mir Qasim was defeated by the britishers and ultimately the
entire province fell into their hands .That was when Mir Qasim decided to flee to Patna to seek help
from shuja ud daulah and Shah Aalam 2 . Therefore , the British east India company was yet again with a
war with Mir Qasim but now he had two his allies with him. Unfortunately this battles commenced at
1765 with the defeat of the nawabs and by signing the treaty of allahabhad with Robert clive which
gave the british east india company to collect diwani from Bengal , bihar and Orissa . It is also noticed
that the battle was a decesive one in the history as the nawab of Bengal was totally dependent on the
britishers with the end of his war as he had to pay rupees 30 lakh to re attain his nawabship and hadhad
also resentfully agreed to give the areas of kara allahabhad to Shah alam 2

Success: A Poem

If you want a thing bad enough

To go out and fight for it,
Work day and night for it,
Give up your time and your peace and your sleep
for it.

If only desire of it
Makes you quite mad enough
Never to tire of it,
Makes you hold all other things tawdry and cheap
for it.

And all that you scheme and you dream is about it,
If gladly you’ll sweat for it,
Fret for it,
Plan for it,
Lose all your terror of God or man for it,

If you’ll simply go after that thing that you want.

With all your capacity,
Strength and sagacity,
Faith, hope and confidence, stern pertinacity,
If neither cold poverty, famished and gaunt,
Nor sickness nor pain
Of body or brain
Can turn you away from the thing that you want,

If dogged and grim you besiege and beset it,

You’ll get it!
If life seems all empty and useless without it
