3. During my research on the Vietnamese market, I have realized that SSI Securities Corporation is a
company with great potential for growth in the future. I often look for founders who are able to impress
from the first meeting even if they often experience failure or rejection when applying for investments in
their plans, big or small. SSI gave me that feeling because of their dynamic, professional working style and
their spirit of constantly reaching the top. Although, the market has had a lot of ups and downs, SSI still
affirms itself as the No. 1 Securities Company in Vietnam by its achievements such as: Best Securities
Company in Vietnam for 7 consecutive years, top 50 companies listed the best in Vietnam and the top 50
most valuable brands in Vietnam. Furthermore, SSI surprised me with great surprise because they were
still standing, while the acute respiratory epidemic of Covid-19 caused a shaky world economy. Therefore,
SSI will not be afraid of any difficult challenges and will always move forward. Therefore, SSI Securities
Corporation is the investment choice that I recommend to Wells Fargo, a US multinational financial

SSI's profit target is GDP growth of only 5-6% which is also positive for Vietnam, though the
Government has not adjusted its growth target to 2020, recent estimates from the Ministry of Planning
and Investment also suggest that growth could be reduced by about 0.8% from the original target (to 5.96

5.1 SSI Securities Corporation is a profit organization. According to the 2019 financial statement,
as of December 31, 2019, the company had to pay VND 506.668.467.000 for dividends and profits to
owners. In early 2019, this figure recorded at VND 498.231.445.000.

Shareholder Structure (SSI, 2019)

According to statistics of shares in the company, we can affirm that SSI is a private company. As of
October 25, 2019 the state does not hold any shares in the company. Holding the most shares is foreign
institutional shareholders with 54%. Domestic shareholders account for 42.8% of which Mr. Nguyen Duy
Hung - chairman of securities joint stock company SSI - currently holds 1,33%.

6. According to the annual report of 2019, Vietnam Stock Market was born on July 11, 1998; The Prime

6.2. According to the announcement of SSI's business results in 2020, total revenue in second quarter
is recorded at 1,379 billion VND - up 85.5% and pre-tax profit is 651.7 billion VND - 172.4% growth
compared to the same period in 2019. At the end of the first half of 2020, SSI has total revenue (parent
company) of 2,354.7 billion VND, pre-tax profit (parent company) is 666.8 billion VND. SSI firmly stands
at the top with 14.13% brokerage market share on HOSE; and 7.63% on HNX. Revenue from securities
brokerage activities increased by 46% compared to the second quarter of 2019, reaching VND 190.8
billion. It can be seen that the brokerage market at Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange - HOSE is the most

7.1. As of December 31, 2019, SSI’s total asset were VND 27.044.115.024.913. The total liabilities
are VND 17.643.055.244.708. Owner’s equity is VND 9.401.059.780.205.

7.2. SSI currently has a total of 907 employees. Including 80% of human resources in the
business sector, 6% working in the administration sector and 14% in the support sector. SSI pays special
attention to and always focuses on the selection of a team of potential candidates, talents, and leading
experts who are enthusiastic, ambitious, and ready to take on new opportunities and challenges. The staff
in the departments are all highly educated (college graduates and older), the average age is under 30 years

8.1. According to the company's organizational structure, it can be easily seen that SSI is the Divisional
Structure. The division structure divides the organization into departments based on their functions. Each
department is headed by a function manager and the staff are grouped according to their roles. Although,
departments have control over their day-to-day operations, they are still accountable to the governance
and executive teams involved in strategy overall for the organization and coordination of the performance
of the tasks across departments.

product, price, distribution, promotion all require necessary resources such as capital, human resources,

become a powerful tool to support investors in making timely decisions thanks to the user-friendly

important meaning in the business. However, it is not necessary to operate risk management to become
a department in a company. In my opinion, the existence of a risk management department undermines
the value of the board of directors in the company because in order to have a risk prevention strategy and
solution, business units must report their operations, revenue to the risk management department.
According to the annual report of SSI in 2019, the Board of Directors has appointed independent members
of the Board of Directors to be in charge of risk management and internal audit. Hence, the more it is
affirmed that the Board of Directors has full capacity to control the company's risks without the need for
the risk management department. In addition, SSI is a company that applies organization divisional
structure, saving costs is a very necessary thing to maintain operations in the company.
