Work Station OPERATION DATE OF ISSUE: 25/07/2021
Paint Workshop Flow coating ISSUED BY: Sameer Nagade
SETTING INSTRUCTIONS VITAL OPERATION:
1. Galvanizing radiators were sweep blasted to Sa 2.5 with 1. Viscosity of the paint should be as per
aluminum Oxide grit. CHING paint TDS viscosity chart.
2. Clean Blasted radiators are then sent for Oven process to pre- 2. Mixing Ratio should be as per the paint
heat them for 70 min at 70ºc. TDS
3. The radiators are then natural cooled down to room
temperature.
4. Put tarpaulin bag in the flow coating tank.
5. Ensure adapter &pipe of tarpaulin bag is attached to the pump.
6. Switch ON the fume extractor.
7. Put primer (mixture of base primer & hardener) in the flow
coating tank.
8. Put respective thinner in the flow coating tank.
9. Circulate the mixture through filter cloths to remove dust and
other particles for 5 mins.
10. Check the viscosity of the mixture with Ford cup ( B4 cup )
SKETCH 11. Ensure viscosity is achieved as per requirement
12. Ensure viscosity parameter is approved by the QA Engg.
13. The radiators are then flow coated with EMC 182 & is left to
naturally dry for 4 to 5 hrs.
14. Once the radiators are naturally dried, it is then sent for oven
process for 70 min at 70ºc.
