We use always the same color to identify the models in each series: Violet: Very soft Red: Soft Blue: Medium - soft Green: Medium Grey: Medium hard Black: Hard Yellow: Staccato This hardness relation is particular for each series. We manufacture series with very varied and different characteristics (specially in marimba, with several multitone possibilities) and it’s possible to find green mallets (medium) harder than the black model (hard) of other different series. For example, Elite marimba Daniel Berg Multitone mallets ref. 3 green will be harder than |.S. Concert Series ref MCS10N Black (hard), and this is because we consider the color exclusively to identify the hardness relation among the models of each series: Green will be the medium model, normally for a very general use; but, for example, xilophone Xa 3 medium green is a plastic head model with very brilliant sound, but it wil be harder than for example, MT4 Grey reference or even harder than MT § Black reference (both models manufactured with rubber balls). So, that means the color refers to the hardness relation of each series, and firstly, more important than to see the color relation is to know what are the characteristics of each series.
