= 2.5 x 2.2= 5.5.lb

c. 7kg
= 7 x 2.2 lb

II. Compare the following

(N.B : Convert to the same unit and then compare)

6kg = 6 x 2.2= 13.2 lb of sugar
6kg of sugar > 13 lb of rice
b) 4.2 kg of banana or 9.5 lb of grapes
4.2 kg = 4.2 x 2.2 =9.24 lb

IV. Work out the length of the rectangle if width is 4cm and area is 64 cm

Length = area ÷ width= 64 ÷ 4 = 1 6 cm

V. Find the area and perimeter of these rectangles

13 cm

5.5 cm

Area = length x width = 13 x 5.5= 71.5cm2

Perimeter = 2 x ( length + width)
= 2 x ( 13 +5.5 )= 2 x 18.5 = 37 cm

VI. Put these lengths in order of size, smallest to greatest

3 inches 1.02 cm 2.95cm 1.2 inches 43 mm

1.2 x 2.54=3.048cm 43/10 =4.3 cm
3x 2.54=7.62cm

1.02 cm < 2.95 cm < 1.2 inches < 43 mm < 3 inches
