 ADAPTER maintenance
 BEARING HOUSING
 GLAND PACKING  High efficiency and
 PRIMING PLUG discharge capacity
 IMPELLER SHAFT  Compact and economical
 SUCTION FLANGE

INSTALLATION
 Install pump as near as possible to water source
 Give a sufficient space for after care and checking
 Before installation, check carefully and clean all impurities in the pump to avoid
impeller damage
 The installation foundation of the pump must be rigid and leveled correctly to
obtain true alignment and steady smooth operation
 It’s better to choose short and straight inlet to reduce the losses of the lift.
 The bottom valve must be keep a certain distance with the surface bed and bank
of the river.
 When the pump is belt driven, the PTO of the engine must be parallel with the
axle of the pump. The tight side of the belt should be placed downward.
 For direct-coupled pump, both their axle centerlines must coincide with each
other. There should be a clearance between couplings.
 While installing, take care with the right rotation of the pump.

OPERATION
 Check if the pump turns smoothly.
 Connect all the suction and discharge fittings to the pump.
 Check tightness of all connections.
 Be sure that the strainer or footvalve is not buried into the sand, leaves or mud.
 Fill or prime the pump with water
 Do not operate the engine or motor without water in the pump since seals or
packings are lubricated by water.
 The pump is now ready to use.

REPAIR & MAINTENANCE

 Having used the pump in heavy sand or mud conditions, Wash the pump to
prevent sand or mud from setting in the pump body.
 Replace worn out packing or seals.
 Occasionally check rubber suction valve which seats against the suction flange for
self priming.
 Occasionally check the impeller from obstruction (e.i. stones, muds or other
foreign object, then remove it if there’s any).

 Replace worn out impeller and mechanical plates

 Always make a periodic check on the tightness of bolts, nuts, set screws, and
alignment of belts
 Check unusual noises during operation
 To prevent foreign materials from falling into the pump, put cover on both inlet
and outlet when not using the pump
 Occasionally check the clearance of the impeller, clearance should be 0.1-0.2 mm

GENERAL SAFETY PRECAUTION

 Beware of revolving or moving parts

 Avoid wearing loose clothes and jewelries
 Operate in a well-ventilated place since exhaust gases are harmful
 Keep inflammable matters away
 Stop the prime mover when checking, adjusting and cleaning necessary parts
 Cover the discharge and suction ports when pump is not in use.
 Keep children away during the operation
 Always make a periodic check on the tightness of bolts, nuts, set screws, and
alignment of belts
 Keep it in safe place when not in use.
 Read Operator’s Manual carefully before usaing the pump.
