HUL Case

In my opinion the proposal of taking mobile marketing ahead should be considered the idea will
add value in achieving their objectives. As already discussed in detail in the case the profitable
results of the Missed call campaign by showing significant result in sales value and prominent
growth in short span. This demonstrate that the people living in such remote areas welcome such
creative technological initiatives. The other aspects that is highlighted company is showing
concern for the happiness of the people who are with very low income by giving them almost
free entertainment but obviously nothing is free they are paying something from nowhere and
company is creating sense of belonginess between these people in return. But one thing that
should be considered is that this idea is adapted by other companies also so this is not creative
any more but still HUL should look for advancement in such type of campaign so if they adapt
this type of promotion there should be some exclusivity in a campaign. People in such areas are
less literate so introducing that include more of reading than listening and watching will not be
advantageous. So HUL should introduce a tele campaign that indulge people in watching and
listening that will better convey their message to them so they should introduce and hybrid
mobile marketing campaign like introducing mobile radio channel that will enhance the
involvement of the target market.
