8.0 at 82 PLUMBING AND SANITARY INSTALLATION General This section outlines Engineer's specific requirement and the design criteria of the proposed Plumbing/Sanitary And Gas Installation for the proposed condominium development, Scope of Works ‘The scope of works shall cover all necessary engineering design, calculation, coordination with all relevant parties, manufacturing, supply, delivery to sito ail ‘equipmentimaterial, installation, testing and commissioning to the entire plumbing/sanitary and gas instalfation and handed over in running order and shall include, inter alias, the following together with all ancillary equipment and provide relevant spares. a ‘The RG potable water storage tank shall comply with SS 375 or BS 6920 and Clause 8 of Part | of SS 375. Complete domestic cold water reticulation network including the PUB water bulk meter and sub-meter, GRP water tanks, booster pumpsets, pipeworks, valves, and related electrical equipment control panels and accessories. ‘Complete hot water system including electrical storage water heaters, pipeworks, insulation, valves and accessories. Hot water shall supply to ail the wash basin, tong bath, shower in the bathroom, kitchen sink, shower and basin in olub house toilet ‘Complete plumbing and sanitary installation for the showflat. ‘Above ground and underground sanitary and waste pipe works including all inspection chambers, cast iron gully trap, waste sumps, sewage ejector system, submersible sump pumps, drainline and necessary sewer connections to existing manhole. Installation of plumbing sanitary wares, appliances and accessories. Town gas supply system including pipeworks, valves accessories, stopcock and flexible hose to gas hob. Complete testing and commissioning ofthe entire Plumbing/Sanitary/Gas Supply Installation. Design Requirements Sanitary Services. Minimum two (2) nos. of soil/waste stack serving the baths within the same apartment unit shall be provided and connected to the inspection chamber separately. Provisions shall be made for fire stopping on all UPVC pipes lesser than 100mm @ penetrating the 1* storey slab. Soil and waste pipes shall not run above bedrooms, living rooms, dining rooms. Solliwaste pipes, rain water and water feature pipes shall not run above any potable water tanks and potable water pumps. Provide minimum 80mm waste outlet in the shower. ‘Stack vent shall be located such that they do not cause nuisance to the apartment owners. ‘Stack vent shall not run in private space, such as roof terrace, etc. Floor traps shall not be located inside kitchen cabinets. Provide drainage under sunken bath. Sanitary and waste pipes enclosed inside bulk head shali bo accessible for maintenance, Provide mimic panel showing status to monitor highviow level alarm of sump pidomestic water tank, sewage ejector, submersible pump ‘and domestic water booster pump at the guard house. 2603164A/ME 84 Plumbing Services. o Mode of supply shall be Indirect, by means of low level storage tank and booster pump systems for those units located above 126.00 AMSL and direct water supply for those units located betow 125.00AMSL. Water storage shail be provided based on 20m’ per apartment per day and also to cater for bin chute cleaning, All booster pumps shall be vertical multistage centrifugal variable speed drive, fitted with frequency controller motor and have at least one unit standby. PUB water sub-metering shall be provided at the centrat meter duct. Water pipes shall not be located on any bedroom wall of another unit. Hot water pipework, where exposed to touch, shall be insulated. Water pressure shall be designed at minimum 1.8 bar. Provide hosebib for the bin chamber, bin centor, swimming poolwater feature plantrooms, domestic/sprinkler/hosereel plantroom landscape, 1* storey PES. Structure borne noise and air borne noise from water incoming pipes and water booster pumps shall be effectively isolated. Design to be reviewed and approved by acoustic consultant. Provide sprinkler system at op of each refuse chute chv timer on/off switch and onvoff button at the refuse chamber at basement. Provide tap at roof and at basement car park for maintenanca purpose. Provision of 1 bib tap per balcony/ open roof terrace and 1 each in the yard and WC. Tap point shall be provided for fridge, washing machine, PES, baloony, roof terrace for all Apartment. Master bathroom (with fong bath) ~-57 litres . Bathrooms ~ 38 litres . Bathroom and Kitchen — 38 litres Concealed water pipos running directly at the back of the installed toilet mirror is not allowed. No flexible hose connections fo WC or wash basins shall be allowed. Access panel at appropriate location and adequately sized shall be provided to the water heaters in the concealed false ceiling. Gas Services a, Dedicated gas risers shall be provided. b. Adequate ventitation shall be provided fo all gas risers. ©. Gas meter for each unit shail be provided in the gas/water meter duct ‘on each floor at the fobby. 4 Gas pipes shall not be located in the bedroom walls. e. Route of concealed gas pipe shall be marked for identification, f. Gas pipes running in concealed ceiling space in the apartment units shall be no joints. 9. PUB gas hose and connections shall be provided for all wet kitchen, Statutory Rul ions & Standards The works shall comply with the following latest statutory rules and regulations codes, guides and standards in respects of the system design, selection of equipment and material etc. The latest Ministry of Environment's Regulations, Code of Practices and Requirements. Singapore Standard CP 48 : Code of Practice for Water Services. Singapore Standard CP 51 : Code of Practice for manufactured gas pipe installation, 2603164AME All other relevant Codes, regulations and req Authorities having jurisdiction. ‘The Contractor shall apply for all necessary permits and obtain all certificates required by the relevant authorities and pay all necessary charges in connection with this Contract work. 2603164NME
