PSYCHOLOGICAL MOTIVATION

The theory on psychological motivation was the topic

discussed by Mr. Arnulf Jairo Velos.
Motivation is defined as the process that initiates,
guides, and maintains goal-oriented behaviors. It is what
causes us to act, whether it is intrinsic or extrinsic. In
connection with education, as educators, we are advised
to prepare an activity that will boost the interest of our
learners for the whole period activity. We need
motivational activities to make in order for our students to
be ready in class and for them to be energized for the
whole time.
Psychological motivation has two types, the extrinsic
and intrinsic motivation. If we say extrinsic, it comes
from the outside aspect of the individual and often
involves prizes such as trophies, money or even social
recognition. In the intrinsic motivation, it comes from
within the individual. Example of which is doing a
crossword puzzle or solving sudoku game.
As a whole, be it an intrinsic or extrinsic motivation,
it is our duties to activate our students interest by
motivating them through activities which are fun-filled
and interesting.
