Prayer

Let us all stand, Melvince will lead the

prayer.

We are fine, thank you.
That’s good!

Checking of Attendance

Samahra, is there any absent today?

I’m happy to tell you that no one is absent
today.
B. Review
Who among you still remember our
previous lesson?
Teacher, our previous lesson is about the
measure of weight.
Very good!

Example:
How many grams are there in one
kilogram?
Yes cian?
1000 grams
Very good!

Another question, how many grams are

there in 2 kilograms?

Yes Samahra?.
2000 grams
Very good!

Since you understand our last topic let’s

move on to our new topic today.

C. Motivation

Okay class do you know what I’m holding

on.

Yes Samahra?
You are holding a coke.
Very good!

In my left hand I have a small bottle of coke

and my right hand I have a big bottle of
coke. Okay class what are the similarities
between the two?

Yes Cian?
Both of them are liquid.

Very good!

In order to know the amount of liquid inside

the bottle of coke. What should we used?

Yes Vhien?
We should use standard units.
Very good!
D. Lesson Proper

Our lesson for today is about measure of

capacity.

Capacity is the maximum amount or

number that can be received or contained
or the amount that something that can
produce.
Example: bottle of coke has liquid inside it
also has amount of liquid that can produce.

Melvince do you have a mother?

Very good! Yes, teacher

All of us has a mother.

This time, I will introduce to you one
mother.

Mother served one small pitcher of

pineapple juice to her children.

The question is, how many glasses of juice

are there in pitcher?

Yes cian?

Very good, Cian 5 glasses

A pitcher of pineapple juice is about 5

glasses. The pitcher and the glasses are
non-standard unit of measure of capacity
they not accurate measure of capacity.

What do use to measure accurately the

capacity?

Yes Vhien?

Very good! By using standards units

Take a look at this picture

Diana take 1 teaspoon of her multivitamins
syrup every morning.

How much vitamin does she take

everyday?

Yes Shae?

Very good! 5 teaspoons of vitamins.

We use the units liters and milliliters to

measure how much a container can hold.

Do you understand class?

Very good! Yes, teacher

We use milliliter to measure small amount

of liquid. The symbol for milliliter is ml.
We use liter to measure large amount of
liquid. The symbol for liter is L.
Do you understand class?

Very good! Yes, teacher

The following containers can hold small

amount of liquid.

What is this Cian?

A medicine dropper.
Very good!

A medicine dropper can hold about 1 to

3ML of liquid.

Faith what is this?

Very good! A teaspoon

A teaspoon can hold about 5 ml of liquid.

Do you understand class?

Very good! Yes , teacher

These are the example of mililiter that can
hold a small amount of liquid.

How about the example of liter? the

following picture of containers can hold
large amount of liquids.

Shae what object is this?

Very good! A bottle of coke

A bottle can hold about 1 liter of liquid.

Clowie what is this?

Very good! A pitcher

A pitcher can hold about 3 liter of liquid.

These are the example of liter that can hold
a large amount of liquid.

Do you understand class?

Yes, teacher
Very good!

In the pitcher we have 3 liters of liquid

inside the bottle. We have to convert from
liter to mililiter. Example: 3 liter equals to
3,000 ml.

How about in 2 liters equals to what?

Yes Cian?

Very good! 2,000 ml

How many mililiters are there in 1 liter?

Yes Samahra?

Very good! 1, 000 ml

How many mililiters are there in 4 liters?

Yes Shae?

Very good! 4, 000 ml

Do you Understand class on how to convert

liter to mililiter?

Very good!
V. Evaluation Yes, teacher
Since all of you understand our topic today
were going to have a short quiz.
