Presented for years as a good formula for making a fortune, the real estate
operations known in the United States as flipping have become so popular
that it is now difficult to get good opportunities, given the sharp increase
in the number of investors competing for them.
But even as profit margins have fallen in the industry, experts insist that
activity is still a good way to build wealth with a business model
adjustment. Instead of buying and fixing to sell, many investors are now
concentrating their efforts on buying and fixing to rent, explained Brad
Bolton, who specializes in real estate investing in Central Florida and is
president of the Florida division of Marketplace Homes.
