Student’s Answer:

Gender Inequality have been around us for about 1000+ years, and still many people don’t believe
that we are all equal in this world. The Sustainable Development Goal #5 which is Gender Equality talks
about achieving equal rights and empowers most women and girls, this is to end the discrimination
against women and build a better society with no discrimination.

The most known problem with regards to gender inequality is the service or the rights of women.
An example would be in their job which could give lesser pay to women and higher pay to men. Another
one would be lack of even access to most things such as education, legal protections and political
representation. Although men are also discriminated in some other aspects, women are the most affected
in most cases.

As a student, I can contribute to the solution of the problem that I have identified by spreading
awareness about gender equality, why we should respect each other’s gender and how can gender
equality change our way of life and the life of a family. By spreading awareness about gender equality, It
could help others realize that the way of life of most women could be change and could be improved, with
that being said, most of the problems that I have mentioned could be solved and could lessen bit by bit.
