ANSWERS
1. How would you describe God’s plan for all humanity?

-From what I always try to remind myself, God created us in His own image. His plan
for us is salvation from sins and bring us to eternal life that He had always
promised from the time we existed. But He reminded us that we need to be
deserving and use our free will through His way during our lifetime in order for us
to be eligible to gain that promised life after death.

2. In the Genesis account, why did Adam and Eve disregard God’s
command?

-The serpent deceived Eve to eat the fruit from the forbidden tree, then later followed
by Adam. Eve blamed the serpent of provoking her to eat the fruit but it was her
own desire that pushed her to disobey God’s only command. They have their own

will to decide who will they believe and trust and they simply chose their own
temptation.

3. Why did God meet Moses on the mountain and give him the tablets of Law?

-God declared that the Israelites were His own people and that they must listen to
God and obey His laws. These laws were the Ten Commandments and were
given to Moses at the Mount Sinai to set out the basic principles that would
govern the Israelites throughout their lives.

4. What ten things summarize the Old Law, the Law of Moses? Write down as
many as you can recall.

-I don’t remember it exactly in order but as I could recall,

*God is the only God and there should be no other Gods before him
*Never worship false gods
*Never take God’s name in vain
*Honor your father and mother
*Always remember the Sabbath day to be holy
*You should not kill
*You should not steal
*You should not lie to your neighbors
*Never desire what belongs to your neighbors
*You should not commit adultery

5. How did the Hebrew people regard the Law of Moses?

- Moses led the Jews out of slavery in Egypt and they received the Ten
Commandments from God. The Hebrews began writing down the law and other
legal principles. They were written in the Torah (means teachings) and eventually
became the first five books of the Bible. The written Torah provided the ancient
Hebrew people with a code of religious and moral laws.

6. What parallels do you find between these two Old Testament accounts (Adam
and Eve in the Garden of Eden; Moses and the Ten Commandments) and
the human condition today?
- Adam and Eve represents today’s society from a fact that we are born sinful because
of them; that people experienced temptations and manifests disobeyance in life.
The Ten Commandments influenced life today in a way that it became the
foundation of today's legal and political systems because they serve as
indications of how people should behave in the society.

7. Why did Jesus Christ come to teach us a New Law to live by? How is the
New Law of the Gospels related to the Old Law of Moses?

- Jesus command that says “love one another” was nothing new compared to the Old
Testament that used similar words in the commandment to “love your neighbour
as yourself.” The command to love others was not new, but Jesus magnified it by
adding the spirit of the law, so that we will be motivated to love each other as it
will prove that we are true children of God.

8. Why do Christians consider Jesus the ultimate path to love and happiness?

- From the famous bible verse John 4:16 that said “I am the way, the truth and the life”
he was the symbol of true love, trust and sacrifice because he let God in his way
and that we will achieve completeness in life if we know and follow God, that will
eventually lead to genuine happiness and meaningful life.

9. How does belief in Jesus Christ as the one, true guide to love and happiness
influence your values or choices?

-When I truly realized Jesus’ purpose that only happened not a long time ago, I
recognized the more appreciative and optimistic side of myself that I never knew I
had. I respect my parents and loved ones more, more than willing to comfort my
friends, and listen to other people more. I learned to trust the process of whatever
thing that I am into today. I talk and pray to God more often and whenever I need
to decide, I know God is in my way. I worried less because I believed more.

10. What role does the Church play in directing us toward the path of love and
happiness?

-The Church continuously provides the word of God through the Holy Scriptures. They
successfully gives prophetic direction towards what Jesus have thought us in the
first place, that love will brought us all and true happiness will be achieved if
there’s God. Church have also played the role of helping people in need in many
aspects but they kept the spiritual purpose the most important because God
knows everything in us and we shall seek him with love so that we can live with
happiness.
