Which according to you is the Biggest Achievement of the Entrepreneur that you
have identified?
After being fired from Apple, In 1986 Steve Jobs bought a company from its founder
George Lucas and turned it into a leader among companies that shoot animated films. For four
main products- “Toy Story”, “Flick Adventures”, “Monsters Corporation”, and “In Search of
Nemo”, Pixar‟s studio raised $2.5 Billion. This made the company the most successful animation
studio.
Which according to you is the Biggest Failure of the Entrepreneur that you have
identified and how he overcame from that?
“I didn’t see it the, but it turned out that getting fired from Apple was the best thing that
could have ever happened to me.”- Steve Jobs
In 1985, less than after he founded Apple; Steve Jobs was (essentially) fired. At age 30,
his life was flipped upside-down and he needed to move on from the only business he‟d ever
known. Jobs were forced to resign when CEO Jon Sculley felt Apple needed to recognize and
shift gears. He didn‟t see jobs in the tech company‟s future plans.
During his time away from Apple, Jobs founded NeXT, a company that developed
computer workstations, and later funded Pixar and helped the animation studio grow
exponentially. He later became chairman and was an executive producer on the enormous hit-
movie, Toy Story.
Instead of sulking and letting that failure doom him, Jobs created an opportunity for
reinvention and used his talents to grow two other organizations. He worked each day with a
subject matter that he cared about, which made it that much easier to talk about, market and sell.
He came back better than ever because he knew that what he wanted to create for the world was
a superior product that people would love.
Steve Jobs personality and his life experiences spurred him to great heights in the
entrepreneurial world. His innovative ideas and focus enabled Apple Company to enter into the
category of the world‟s most valuable companies. However, his success is attributable to the vast
economic opportunities which emerged during his career although his imagination ability could
make him stand a top in different economic opportunities because he possessed the ideal traits of
a successful entrepreneur.
Some of his personal traits that enabled him to achieve success in his career were focus,
passion and his exceptional imagination. Besides, his communication skills were amazing
because he could entertain, inform and inspire his audience at the same time.
