o Read a silly poem out loud.


o Describe your favourite dessert.
o Narrate a wordless picture book.
o Complete and read out a Mad-Libs.
o Explain the rules of your favourite sport.
o Practice tongue twisters with your sounds.
o Describe your bedroom/kitchen/living room.
o Interview a friend to learn more about them.
o Explain the rules of a board game/card game.
o Recite a nursery rhyme containing your sound.
o Summarize your favourite TV show/book/movie.
o Describe what you had for breakfast/lunch today.
o Describe the kind of store you would want to own.
o Make a joke book containing jokes with your sound.
o Describe a picture you see in a newspaper/magazine.
o Describe the route you take to get to school each day.
o Practice your speech while ordering at a restaurant or at a
coffee shop.
o Make up a silly story trying to incorporate as many words
with your sound as possible. Roll a dice and make up a
sentence incorporating that many words with your target
sound.
o Design a reminder card for your desk or bathroom mirror,
and explain how it will help you to remember to use your
sound.
o Describe the steps to complete a household chore (for
example, doing the laundry, cleaning the bathroom, sorting
the recycling).
o Play 'I spy': Give a detailed description of something in your
environment and have someone guess what you are looking at.
o Play '20 Questions': Ask a friend or family member to think of an
animal/person/object and you have to guess what they are
thinking about.
o Play 'Would you rather...': Each player takes turns coming up with
two options and the other player has to choose which option they
prefer and explain why.
o Play 'Two Truths and a Lie': Come up with 3 statements about
yourself - two that are true and one that is false. The other player
has to guess which statement is a lie and explain why that is their
guess.
o Play 'Hot/CoId': Players take turns hiding an object around the
room, and the other players have to ask questions to find it. The
player who hid the object has to tell them if their guess was 'hot'
or 'cold' to where it is.
o Watch a 'how to' video then explain the process to someone else
(Some video ideas include looking up magic tricks, snack recipes,
slime recipes, baking,)
o Make a collage of pictures with your sound. Talk about where you
glued the pictures, which ones are your favourite, which ones are
your least favourite, etc.
o Have a debate with a family member or friend (some ideas
include: What is the best superpower? What is the best ice cream
flavour? Which animal makes the best pet?)
