Note: Use 6V-4876 Lubricant on the bolt threads.

The tightening sequence for the cylinder head bolts follows:

1. In a numerical sequence, tighten bolts 1 through 18.

Torque for bolts . . . 270 ± 15 N·m (199 ± 11 lb ft)

2. In a numerical sequence, tighten bolts 1 through 18.

Torque for bolts . . . 450 ± 15 N·m (332 ± 11 lb ft)

3. In a numerical sequence, again tighten bolts 1 through 18.

Torque for bolts . . . 450 ± 15 N·m (332 ± 11 lb ft)

4. In a numerical sequence, tighten nuts 19 through 27.

Torque for nuts . . . 45 ± 7 N·m (33 ± 5 lb ft)

(28) Tighten the exhaust manifold studs that are in each cylinder head to the following torque. . . . 35
± 5 N·m (26 ± 4 lb ft)
