TWO ASSESSMENT TOOL THAT CAN BE UTILIZED TO ASSESS OXYGENATION

STATUS/PROBLEM

 Pulse Oximeter

The pulse oximeter is one of the most popular and frequently used tools to monitor
oxygenation. It shows two important readings: the pulse rate, recorded as beats per
minute and the oxygen saturation of hemoglobin in arterial blood.

 Arterial Blood Gas

- test measures the acidity (pH) and the levels of oxygen and carbon dioxide in
the blood from an artery. This test is used to find out how well your lungs are
able to move oxygen into the blood and remove carbon dioxide from the blood.
