Heavy-Duty Oil art. no.: 236

Area of application Heavy-duty wood in internal areas, e.g. kitchen worktops, furniture, parquet, children's toys
and other wooden surfaces.
Properties Solvent-free. The wood is processed on a permanent basis and guarantees a hard-wearing
surface. Can be impregnated, water-resistant, open porous, diffusion permeable. Sweat-
and saliva-proof in accordance with DIN 53 160. Tested i.a.w. DIN EN 71, Part 3.
Contents Linseed oil, wood oil/stand oil, nut oil, micro wax, clay, kaolin, zinc oxide, aluminium silicate,
uv titanium, Co/Ca/Mn/Zn drying agents.
VOC Directive (2004/42/EC): The VOC content of this product is max. 1 g/l. The EU limit is
max. 400 g/l (Category "e" from 2010).
Paint Red, milky
Processing The base must be dry (wood humidity max. 14 %), solid, absorbent, grease-free and dust-
free. Shake well or mix before use.
Final finish depending on the wood type and request between 150 - 240 grit size. Distribute
using the Festool oil dispenser SURFIX or an alternative applicator.
After approx. 15 minutes' soak-in time grind in with green Festool non-woven cloth and re-
move excess using a lint-free towel/cloth.
Depending on the request for intermediate sanding (e.g. 240 grit size) apply additional oil
and polish with white Festool non-woven cloth.
Use The order quantity must be defined in advance per trial order. Empirical values depending
on the suction capacity of the wood: 20-40 g/m².
Drying time The drying time depends on the environment. The drying time at 20° - 23° C is 6 - 12 hours,
depending on the quantity of oil applied. This system requires sufficient quantities of atmo-
spheric oxygen for drying. Therefore ensure that ventilation is good and if the air is stagnant,
work with a fan, for example, to prevent the formation of unpleasant odours.
Storage Store in a cool and dry place. Durable for at least 2 years when unopened. Seal broken/open
containers. Pack the rest in smaller containers.
Safety instructions and Working materials such as cleaning cloths, foam pads, sanding dust, etc. that are soaked
suggestions with product and contain oil that is not completely dry should be stored in airtight metal con-
tainers or submersed in water and then disposed of because the vegetable oil content poses
a risk of spontaneous combustion. The product itself is not spontaneously combustible.
Make sure there is sufficient ventilation for drying.

Contains cobalt carboxylate - May cause allergic reactions.

Wear a dust mask when sanding.
A typical smell is emitted from the natural raw materials used.

Disposal In accordance with official local regulations. Dried product residue can be disposed of in the
domestic waste.
