Students are provided with a sample email or letter, which serves as a model and familiarises them with various aspects of writing such as purpose, audience, content, text orgenisation, register and style, Each unit has a specific learning objective in mind and the range of activities that follow provide students with the opportunity to practise aspects such as brainstorming, linking words/phrases and cohesion/ coherence. Students are then given an exam-oriented writing task that follows the examination format.
