Good morning to our wise principal, beloved teachers, and all my friends. In this lovely
and breezy morning, I would like to deliver a talk entitled, “Benefits of a Hobby”.

I am sure that everyone in this humble assembly has their own hobby. A hobby can be
any activity that can be done during our spare time, and a hobby is also something that can be
done indoor or even outdoor. Be it a relaxing or a strenuous activity, the purpose of a hobby is
to provide pleasure and satisfaction whilst the passing time. It is always a win-win situation to
have a hobby at bay.

On the other hand, a hobby can chase boredom away. For instance, we can do rafting, boating,
swimming, etc. These activities are proven to offer healthy benefits as they are thrilling, as well as
physically and mentally challenging. You will definitely have no time to feel bored and it is like  killing
two birds with a stone!

Furthermore, a hobby also allows us to have a healthy pastime. If physical activities don’t interest
you, there are more brainstorming activities that offer alertness and mental stimulation. We can also  think
outside the box by doing arts or music. Another example is by reading a book from the popular series of
“Harry Potter”. This will give us the imaginations of being in a magical world that can certainly stimulate
our brain. Moreover, storytelling can also broaden our vocabulary and knowledge, as well as
entertainment.
