After skimming through the article, I couldn’t help but think of “Truth is stranger than fiction, but it is
because Fiction is obliged to stick to possibilities; Truth isn’t.” – Mark Twain. To think that in times of
needing more Nurses to where they should matter, the government could not supply the demand, both
to the public and to the nurses.

It’s just really discouraging to see fellow nurses are just worked to the ground and yet still they’re under-
appreciated, makes me think if I should be more selfless and to serve the people but keeping in mind
that what I’m risking for is not even worth my health and safety.

We may never really find a solution for this problem or we might, but what has happened and is still
happening is real and I may not be in the position to criticize, I can only share my opinion. Though I’m
stuck between being a nurse during a pandemic in these conditions, or sit quietly in my sheltered life,
although the latter seems like a good plan; it will only get worse from there.

I only got one life, I may live to the fullest or not, I was raised with compassion for my fellow
countrymen so I’m willing to get into the fray with or without the government’s aid. What are nurses
without risk and trials.
