TASK 2
CATS ARE AMAZING
Cat is an adorable animal. It is a domestic animal and is kept as a pet. It has very sharp claws and keen eyes that
help it in seeing during the night. That means that it has a very good nocturnal vision that is much better than
humans. It has two small ears, with a highly sensitive tympanic membrane (eardrum), which helps it in hearing
even the slightest of sounds. Its small and bushy tail helps it in maintaining balance while walking.
Cat is an extremely beautiful and mesmerizing mammal, which can attract you towards itself with its laid-back
attitude and funny portrayal of its actions. You will be completely fascinated by the cat. It can be aggressive at
times when it is irritated or is being continuously poked. Cats are found in many colors like brown, golden, white,
black, or a mix of any of these two colors.
A cat is an omnivore animal, that is, it can feed both on the vegetation (pulses, milk, vegetables) and other small
animals. It usually likes to eat rice, fish, meat, milk, mouse, small birds, etc.
Cats are very lazy and have a lethargic attitude towards life, they just love to sleep in a cozy and warm place. Cats
can climb a tree or a fence/wall as they are extremely good at climbing. They can also jump very high and long
distances. It is such an adorable and loving animal, that they are mostly kept as a pet and even the street cats are
treated with lots of love and care. The Cat has got very sharp canines and pointed nails, which helps it in killing all
the small animals like the mouse, small birds, and snakes.
As a pet, a cat is a very useful animal and helps in protecting or saving our rashan from rats. The offspring of a cat is
called a kitten, it is a smaller and cuter version of a cat. Cat has got four thin, short, and sturdy limbs that help it in
walking, running, and jumping for long distances. Its bright eyes help it in seeing long distances and also help
during the dark. Cats are found all over the world. There is no place without a cat. Sometimes a cat can be
mistaken for a tiger cub, because of its extreme similarities with it.
A cat’s body is completely covered with soft and beautiful fur. Cats make a "meow meow" sound. God has
provided cats with soft shoes or pads, which help a cat in walking without making a sound. A cat’s walk is
considered to be the most graceful walk. Cats are very helpful and amusing. It is one of the most useful animals to
humans. It is friendly and fierce at the same time.
They are extremely fun-loving and playful. They like to play a lot and can be mischievous at times. They are
extremely loving creatures and should be loved, cared and protected from any kind of pain. They are an integral
part of our ecosystem and should be protected from manipulative and selfish society.

EVALUATION:
1. Writing is a process that involves at least four distinct steps: prewriting, drafting, revising, and editing. It is
known as a recursive process. While you are revising, you might have to return to the prewriting step to develop
and expand your ideas.
2. A thesis statement clearly identifies the topic being discussed, includes the points discussed in the paper, and is
written for a specific audience. Your thesis statement belongs at the end of your first paragraph, also known as
your introduction. The thesis statement sets the reader up for the rest of the essay. Usually at the end of the
introduction paragraph, the thesis leads into the body paragraph, which provides evidence and ideas to back up
the thesis. The thesis statement is important because it tells the audience what they will be reading about.
3. Avoid the obvious content. Take the less usual side. Slip out of abstraction. Get rid of obvious padding. Call a fool
a fool. Beware of Pat Expressions. Colorful Words. Colored Words. Colorless Words.
WEEK 5 & WEEK 6
TASK 2

TASK 3
Being Analytical and Knowledgeable. Academic writing requires one to take some time, focus, and think about the
topic at hand. It means that you can’t make do with the things that come to your head the moment you see the
topic. Instead, students are expected to devote a significant amount of time to researching the subject, reading
and analyzing the sources, and shaping and communicating their own ideas. Doing academic writing regularly
develops this sort of attitude where one doesn’t jump to conclusions but always prefers to analyze the situation
and find the best solution. As a bonus, academic writing enriches students with knowledge which, in its own right,
alters their perspective on life and helps them evolve. Although academic writing is usually a temporary stage in
one’s life, the skills it can help develop are valuable for the rest of one’s life.
Being Perseverant. Academic writing consists of examination, research, analysis, writing, and editing. One needs to
demonstrate a sense of commitment to their work and the results they want to achieve. In many cases, students
reach out to services to seek professional advice or make sure their papers land good marks. With or without
assistance, academic writing helps to develop a sense of devotion and perseverance. It throws a challenge like
nothing else. It confronts one on one the ability to set and reach goals no matter how much effort they take. In
some sense, academic writing is not so much about writing as it is about one’s attitude to studies and challenges. It
is about their ability to look into the face of the unknown and stretch a greeting hand.
Developing Creativity. Embracing academic writing is also about creativity, one’s ability to do creative analysis and
unconventionally communicate their ideas. The very point here is about avoiding verbiage and delivering a clear
message concisely. It certainly requires creativity. Therefore, practicing academic writing on a regular basis helps
students be more creative in their studies and even in daily life. It gives them a chance to develop unconventional
ideas and approaches. They also learn to look for solutions that are not necessarily obvious. After all, creativity is
not only about being able to make a painting or sketch a drawing. On the contrary, people resort to creativity daily
without even realizing it when trying to solve their problems. It is a skill you get to develop as a bonus.
Increasing Focus Levels. Being able to focus does not come easy. It is not something everyone is born with or gets
to inherit. However, the good news is that focus is something one can train. Practicing academic writing is one of
the “exercises” that will help you do that. This type of writing usually comes with precise tasks and deadlines. It
positively impacts students and helps them focus, even if the peak focus comes in the very last few hours before
the paper deadline. In any case, writing a decent paper requires one to free up a few hours and focus on turning a
blank piece of paper into something that can improve their academic excellence and develop their (niche)
knowledge. What’s even more interesting is that the more someone likes the topic they need to work on, the
easier and more pleasurable it will be for them to focus on the process and get it done.
Discovering the Power of Writing. It helped me develop a sort of appreciation for the written word. As someone
who gets to read, process, and write a lot, a student like me usually come to the point where I enjoy reading more
and can define the type of writing I like working with most of all. However, perseverance and regular work, which
accompanies academic writing, have helped us rediscover writing. It has helped us change how we approach it to
the point where it is not a dreadful experience but rather a pleasant task.
