Dyos alang sa mga katawhan. Unsang klaseng gugma naa sya para sa
mga katawhan? Iyang gihatag iyang kaugalingong anak dli aron mag
serbisyo,dli arun mabuhi. Apan gihatag nya iyang bugtong anak nga si
Ginoong Hesus arun nga mamatay!! Gitugutan sa amahan nga isalikway
iyang pursusong anak para nimo ug para nako. This is how much God
loves you and me.Dli basta2x ang gugma sa Dyos igsoon
Romans 3:23 --- Tungod sa pagkabalaan sa Dyos walay makaduol
nya,dli sya pwede sa sala.tungod ang tawu naka sala dli ka kakabot
nya.. tanan ta nakabsan ta sa himaya sa Dyos tungod sa sala, . ALL
HAVE SINNED,kitang tanan naka sala….
Romans 6:23 --- Og ang bayad sa sala kamatayun…Kinahanlan tang
mamatay para sa bayad sa atong sala.
Importante kaayo igsoon nga makuha og masabtan ni nimo tungod kay
mao ni ang rasun nga gihimo ni hesus ang sakit kaayo nga kamatayun
didto sa Krus sa kalbaryo.
We all deserve to die & pay for our sins, but Jesus took all our sins to
Himself, so that we can be spared from the punishment of sin & be given
the gift of eternal life…Romans 6:23b... [FREE GIFT OF LIFE] It was free
because SOMEBODY PAID FOR IT.Gi ako’ nya tanan para mabayran
ang tanan natong kasal anan,ang kaluwasan dli libre kay mahal kaayo
ang presyo nga gibayad ni Hesus..
Colossians 2:14…Ug gilansang nya tanan natong sala sa krus:[Jewish
Culture] people are crucified for crimes/sins. The crime that they did is
posted on the cross where they are crucified. But they couldn’t post
anything on Jesus’ cross because He had no sin… What was He bearing
on the cross?? He bore our sins. He took all our sins & the punishment
that was supposed to be for us.]

 He was sold by one of His disciples, Judas, to the
soldiers, in exchange of silver. Even after the betrayal, He still
broke bread with Judas.
 Before Jesus was arrested, He was praying in Gethsemane
(Mark 14:32). It was mentioned that He was in deep distress.
He sweat blood.
---- Sa dihang masayud ka ang imong kamatayun duol na,dli

imong bation?Si Ginoong Hesus nahadlok & in deep
trouble. He had to pray, really pray intensely!!! Kanus a ba

gyud kang ampo,kanang nay krisis sa pamilya,prisohon
nab a ka, nay grabe nga pagsulay, panahon nga hadlok
na ka dba mag ampo ta… Jesus felt that too.
 V47 The arrest: signaled WITH A KISS.
 When He was arrested, everyone deserted Him and fled. Sa
gidakop na sya nanga wala naman iyang mga higala iyang
mga disipolo.wala namay nakaila nya..
---- He was in deep distress when everybody left Him. Grabe
iyang kaguol nga ang tanan namiya nya,Now, He was alone in
what He’s going to face.
 V 54-62 One of His disciples, Peter, denied Him, 3 times.
---- It’s like being denied by someone to whom you’ve invested
so much.
 Brought to the house of the high priest.
 V 63-65 Bisag kinsa nalang mangkuwa nya,mang
laparo,sumbag. They even mocked Him by asking Him to
prophesy who hit Him.Binu angan sya ‘’cge dw be ginoo man
kaha tagnaa daw be kinsay nanumbag nimo’’grabe ang
pagpakaualw (Matt 26:67-68.)
---- naluwaan nab a ka sa imong sood nga higala sa imong
kumara,sa imong anak,sa imong bana? Sakit kaayo
diba.Mo ingon ka nga sumbaga ko,laparuha ko,ayw jud
kog luwai kay dli nako na madawat.
 Accused of so many things. The good things He did was used
against Him. The teachings that the crowd loved listening to
were turned against Him.
 Was brought to Pilate. Pilate had to re-think things over…
THREE TIMES!!! He found no guilt in Jesus. He found no
reason to crucify Him. V 22
 Was brought to Herod. There He was mocked. They made Him
wear a royal robe to insult Him.
 Was sent back to Pilate. [Herod & Pilate had been enemies,
but they became friends now that they are conspiring against
Jesus]

puro magkaaway sauna nag usa na para dauton ka para gub
on ka.
 Had an opportunity to be spared…Pilate wanted to just punish
Him then release Him. But the PEOPLE insisted His
crucifixion.
 AMAZING thing happened: The true criminal named Barabbas
was set free in exchange with Jesus.
--- This is what Jesus did for us… divine exchange. We are the
ones supposed to be punished for our transgressions,kita unta
ang mo bayad,malansang og mo dawat aning tanan, but the
word of God says “He was pierced for our
transgressions.Gipas an nya ang atong mga sala,dili bya to
iyang sala.
 Matthew 27:26. Jesus was flogged/scourged/whipped.
---- the whip that was used was not an ordinary whip, lubid
lang.
---- The whip had a metal at the end that when it hit Jesus’
skin, it penetrates and when pulled again, Jesus flesh
would be ripped off
---- Pilas pilas ang balat at laman ni Hesus dahil sa mga
hampas na tinanggap nya.
 Matthew 27:27-31: He was mocked and played with by the
soldiers who took Him. They stripped Him and put a scarlet
robe upon Him.
He was mocked – kinutsa-kutsa; inalipusta ang
pagkatao; ininsulto nang todo-todo; sukdulang pang
hahamak
Isaiah 53:3-4
Matthew 27:40 and saying, “You who are going to destroy the
temple and build it in three days, save yourself!
Come down from the cross if you are the Son of
God!”
Matthew 27:42 “He saved others,” they said, “but He can’t
save Himself! He’s the king of Israel! Let Him come down now
from the cross, and we will believe in Him.”
 They twisted a crown of thorns and put it on His head. They
gave Him a staff. They knelt in front of them and mocked Him
by saying “Hail King of the Jews!” Then, they spit on Him. Then
they took the staff and hit Him on His bleeding head, again and
again and again!!!
---- In Israel, there really is a plant named Crown of Thorns.
The thorns are 3-4 inches long and they are really sharp
and strong. The soldiers pressed this crown through the
head of Jesus. The head is the bloodiest part of our body
when wounded. SO, we can just imagine how the blood
run down Jesus’ face. And the pain all over His head.
 V 32 He was numbered with thieves.
--- Nagpakababa ng estado ang Panginoon upang abutin tayo.
 V33 He was brought to Golgotha, place of skull… The One
who calls Himself, the LIFE, was brought to the place of death.
--- tayo sana ang karapat-dapat dun!!!
 He was crucified with the two thieves.
  V 35-38 Even while hanging on the cross. People continued to
insult & mock Him.
--- He was suffering physical pain & emotional pain at the
same time.
 Matthew 27:34 They offered Jesus wine with gall. Jesus
refused to drink it.
---- sobrang torture na ito. Uhaw na uhaw at pagod na pagod
na, at nananakit pa ang mga sugat at pasa, bibigyan pa
ng mapait na inumin.
 V39 Even one of the criminals crucified with Him mocked Him.
 V40-43 THE PICTURE OF AMAZING FAITH: While the other
thief was looking at Jesus suffering the same things as he was
suffering, he still chooses to believe that Jesus was the Son of
God.
 Jesus broke His silence. Naisiwalat Nya ang naipon sa puso
Nya…. ‘AMA, AMA, BAKIT MO AKO PINABAYAAN?”
 V44-46 In the midst of darkness, for darkness covered the
whole land during that time… Makulimlim ang panahon…
“AMA, SA IYONG KAMAY IBINIBIGAY KO NA ANG AKING
BUHAY…” “FATHER, INTO YOUR HANDS, I COMMIT MY
SPIRIT.”
 V47 JESUS BREATHED HIS LAST.
Philippians 2:8 Nagpaubos sya ug nagmasinugtanon hangtod
sa kamatayun—bisan sa iyang kamatayun sa krus
---- It must have been hard and difficult for Him because He
had the power to come down. But He didn’t come
down because He looked at the joy set before Him,
our freedom from sin, sickness and death.
* Jesus wanted the power of the cross for our lives. He fully knows what
the cross will do to us. He knew that we need it. And He wanted it for us.
And He gave it to us.
Colossians 2:14 Gipapas Nya ang tanan tang mga utang lakip ang mga
kasabutan bahin niini ug giwagtang Nya ang tanan pinaagi sa
pagpalansang niini sa krus..
* Jesus shed His blood so we can be washed… from our filth, our sins,
our sicknesses, our troubles…No shedding of blood, no remission of sin
Hebrews 9:22 Sumala sa balaod ang tanang butang kahinluan pinaagi
sa dugo ug mapasaylo lamang ang sala kung kini mapaagasan og
dugo…

The prophecy actually gives us the picture of how Jesus suffered on the Isaiah 1:18, KJV. "Ngari kamu ug maghusay ta”Bisag unsa ka pula ang
cross. inyong sala maputi kini kaayo bisan pa kinig dagtom-pula,maputi kini
Isaiah 53 – the prophet Isaiah’s description of Jesus’ suffering sama sa karnero
----- without the blood of Jesus, there will be no cleansing of
He was disfigured and was left unrecognizable our sins
Isa 53:2 … There was nothing beautiful or majestic about his ---- kung wala ang dugo ni Kristo, walang kalinisan ang tao
appearance, nothing to attract us to Him. ---- walang makakapaghugas ng ating kasalanan at karumihan
Kalooban ni Yahweh na ang Kanyang lingcod ay kundi ang banal na dugo ni Kristo
matulad sa isang halamang natanim sa
tuyong lupa. Walang katangian o Psalm 103:12 Sama sa gilayun sa sidlakan gikan sa kasadpan,mao usab
kagandahang makatawag-pansin, wala ang gilayun sa pagwagtang nya sa atong mga sala
Siyang taglay na pang-akit para lapitan
Siya. 1 John 1:9 Apan kun isugid nato sa Dyod ang atong mga sala,sya nga
Isaiah 53:3-5 (NRSV) matarung og matinumanon sa iyang saad mopasaylo gayud sa tanan
He was despised and rejected by others; natong mga sala ug maghinlo sa tanan natong mga kalapasan.
A man of suffering and acquainted with infirmity;
And as one from whom others hide their faces Romans 5:8 Apan gipakita sa Dyos kanato ang gidakun sa iyang gugma
He was despised, and we held Him of no account. kanato kay sa makasasala pa kita nagpakamatay si Kristo alang kanato
Surely He has borne our infirmities  even when we were not paying attention.. even when we’re busy with
And carried our diseases; our own thing… kahit hindi natin Sya pinapansin, pinapahalagahan…
Yet we accounted Him stricken, MINAMAHAL NYA TAYO!!! NAMATAY SYA PARA SA ATIN!!!
struck down by God, and afflicted.
But He was wounded for our transgressions, John 15:13 Ang labing dakong gugma nga ikahatag sa usa ka tawu
crushed for our iniquities; ngadto sa iyang mga higala mao ang paghatag sa kaugalingun nyang
upon Him was the punishment that made us whole, kinabuhi alang kanila…
and by His bruises we are healed. Walang ibang magmamahal sa yo nang tulad nito. Jesus is not angry.
He doesn’t hate you.
Isaiah 52:14 As peoples were surprised at Him, and His face
was not beautiful, so as to be desired: His face was so VIDEO
changed by disease as to be unlike that of a man, and His EXPERIENCING THE CROSS
form was no longer that of the sons of men.

* Jesus chose the cross, it was not imposed upon Him, Jesus did it with
joy.

John 15:13 Greater love has NO MAN than this, for a man to lay down
his life for his friends

* Jesus went to the cross because of obedience
