Reflection Paper in NSTP-CWTS webinar entitled as ‘Promoting Health and Well-Being in
Times of Pandemic

From the tittle itself we can know the webinar is all about. It is how we can protect our
health and well-being and how we can deal with this time of pandemic. As the webinar
starts, the general information about Covid-19 tackled including the symptoms and how
long does it take to develop symptoms after exposure. It’s difficult to give it one name.
Anxiety, definitely. Fear, dread and grief are mixed in too. We’re also experiencing
ambiguous grief. It’s not a clear loss, like that experienced by people who have lost a loved
one, but it’s the feeling we’ve lost so much in terms of normalcy and safety. Before the
pandemic, people felt safe going about their daily business, doing things like going to the
grocery store and going to school. But now we can’t go outside whenever we want to, and
wearing facemask and practicing social distancing is a must. It is a very challenging for us to
practice social distancing because Filipinos are known as a very affectionate people but we
must do it in order to reduce the spread of the Covid-19 in our country. But the feeling of
safety is gone due to this pandemic. However, the webinar also tackled about different test
for you to know if you have infected or not. Through this, I got a chance to know what is the
differences between Covid-19 RT-PCR test and Covid-19 Rapid Anti-Body Test. Covid-9 RT-
PCR is the most confirmatory test to diagnosis of Covid-19 while the Covid-19 Rapid Anti-
body Test determines if the person has developed antibodies against the virus. At first, I
thought when you tested positive in the Rapid Test, you already infected of the virus. But I
am wrong, because rapid test can only determine the develop antibodies against the virus
and for you to confirm if you’re infected or not, you must take the RT-PCR test. After that,
there’s also given sample national guidelines to follow and tips. As the webinar ended, I
have a lot of learnings regarding Covid-19 and I will make sure that information will be
apply to my everyday coping with this pandemic. We should protect ourselves, others , and
also our community.
