INTRODUCTION 1.1 Purpose and content of manual This instruction manual is written for those who operate or maintain the Hit - 8G equipped with the HiTROL - 805, Please understand the caution items for safe operation of tis machine. It is our plessure if this manual is made the best use of as the safety check list for daily operation We would like to have your understanding beforehand that there may be some diference between the contents of this manual and the mactine due to betterment. 1.2 Installation precautions To ensure the safe opsraton of the NC machine, note the fallowing during instalation: 4.2.1. Wiring (1) Be sure to use electrical conductors. with performance ratings equivalent or superior to those described in the Maintenance Manual (@ Do not connect to the power stibution pane! any power cables for devices which can cause line noise, uch as are welders and high frequency quenching machines. (@) Arrange for a qualified engineer to connect the power lines. 1.2.2, Grounding Use, a grounding wire with a cross section of more than 14 mm? and a resistance to ground of less than 100 ohms. This wire size should be greater than AWG (American Wire Gauge) No. 5 and SWG (Brsh Legal Standard Wre Gauge) No 6. Generally, the NC machine should be grounded to a separate ‘rounding rod. if an independent ground can not be provided for the machine, prepare the ground connection as folows: (1) Connect a single conductor ots own grounding terminal This will avoid possible serious accidents resulting from ‘ground currents which might otherwise flow in the NC machine if a peripheral device should maltuncton, (2) Be caroful when using concrete reinforcing rods as rounding points. These reinforcing rods often are used to ground equipment because they usually offer a resistance to ground of less than 100 ohms. In doing so, ‘make the connection as follows This also applies. to connecting ground wires to regular grounding terminals 1) Do not use the same grounding reinforcing rod or {grounding terminal for other devices since this could lead 1a line noise such as produced electric weiders and high frequency quenching machines. 2) Use @ grounding terminal with en adequate electical performance rating and which is durable. @ A separate grounding wire should be used, one whose length is as short as possible. (Check the resistance to ground by actual measurement This Should measure less than 100 ohms ifthe single device is connected to its own grounding rod, Desirable Independent Grounding Earth resistance Less than 100 ohms ‘Common Grounds : osistance to ground = 100 / the number of devices connected to the grounding fost (2) "Never ground equipment as shown in the following figure 1.3 Environmental Conditions Generaly, the mactine wil be installed on the following conditions, However, these may change over a period of time oF in response to seasonal changes. (1) Supply voltage : 90% ~ 110% of nominal supply votage (2) Source frequency > 1 Hz of nominal frequency (8) Ambient temperature = Oto 4510 (92°F to 113°F) (4) Relative Humidity: Less than 75% Temperature changes should not cause ‘condensation (6) Ammosphere : Free from excessive dust, acid fumes corrosive gases and salt (6) It shoud be avoided to expose the machine to direct ‘sunight or heat rays which can change the environmental temperature. (7) Avoid exposing the NC machine to abnormal vibration. Note In carrying out the horizontal centering finally, it is ‘needed to perform leveling in the siate where the foundation bolts and leveling nuts are firmly tightenad. Use levelers with a minimum graduation of 0.02 mm (20008 in), PAGE No. FEV No, ‘800K No. + Z98H170050 7.2 4 2506) AHYUNDAI 8. MAINTENANCE OF INSTALLATION 8.1 Maintenance immediately aftr installation 8, MAINTENANCE OF INSTALLATION ‘AND INTER-EQUIPMENT CONNECTIONS {In ordor to maintain precision of machine for a long period of time and to operate it always in the best condition, it is necessary to properly maintain te machine. Giving careful attention to the operating state, conducting periodic inspection, ‘and replacing worn-out parts in thait early stage will prevent Unexpected aocident from happening 8.1 Maintenance immediately after installation ‘In the intial stage when the machine is installed, the machine is largely subject to change in the bed level due to change in the foundation ground as well as to unstable solidification of the ground, ail of which have a serious influence to machine predésion and at the same time the machine itself undergoes inital wear and other changes. resuming in an outstanding fouling inside the machine, accordingly, itis under a. condition where an accident tends to be induced. lin operating the machine, therefere, it is necessary to pay a Particular attention, Hereafter, we wil describe items of caution as to the inital ‘maintenance, (1) Running in Aer installation and when operating the machine for the frst time, itis needed to pay a parioular atention to the machine before running it in. Alow approximately 100 how's for the running in, It should be avoided applying a big load to the machine during the running in (2) Inia inspection of bed level ‘Check the bed level and the foundation for their changes at least once a month for a period of six months after instalation. And. be sure to correct any disorder and always make effort to maintain the bed level propety ‘After the sx months, gradually extend the checking period as appropriate depending on the change of state then camry out the check once or twice @ year along with decrease of change. 82 Inspection of inter-machine connection Inspection of the state of electical connections among respective units of the NC equipment, the machine proper, the hydraulic unit, the coritol panel, etc (1) Loosened connectors lectical conection among respective units is carried out with cannon connectors. Check each comecting portion for loosening and relighted it if loosened, (2) Loosened screws at each terminal Check elecrrcal terminals of machine relay regions and leach operation panel for loosened screws, and relighted them as required i! they are found loose. (9) Check terminal screws and mounting screws of micro itches for loosening and relighted them, 8.3 Inspection of electrical contro! panel When inspecting the electrical control panel, be sure to tum OFF the main breaker before pertrming each check (1) Terminal screws and soldered potions Check terminal screws of each electrical components for loosening and reighted them if loosened. ‘And, bahty pull soldered portion of relay panel with a hand to check soldering strength. © HYUNDA 1965 ALL RIGHTS RESERVED Subject to change without prior noes @ @ © Plug type fuse (Check the fuse for loosened cap and firmly reighted it ‘Spark killer Check each spark killer.
