Analysis of song Grenade - Bruno Mars

The song is about the girl whom he loves or maybe he loved and was in a relationship. He is basically
saying that even though this girl has moved on and found someone else in her life he still cares
enough about her. Even thought she has moved on and cares nothing about him, he still cares
enough to do all these things for her to show her that he is truly a good friend.

If you see the music video itself he is dragging a piano during most of the video. The piano
symbolizes him taking all the weight off her shoulders as in her life problems and such. He takes this
weight off and puts it on himself so that she does not have to worry anymore and can live her life
without any problems and such.

He loves her so much, he would do anything for her, he would even die for her if that was the case
but the thing is that the woman doesn't feel the same way. He did everything he could to make her
happy but ins tead she rejected him. He tells her of all he could do for her, which is catch a
grenade for her which is a small explosive bomb thrown by hand. So obviously he was in deep love
with this woman who never even cared for a second. The song is about how you love someone but
they don't feel the same with you
