Hon. Dan Satterberg,
We have all watched in horror as the investigation of the murder of Maple Valley resident Greg Moore
has unfolded over the past two months. While the sudden death of any community member within my
district is a traumatic event, new information just learned since the apprehension of the suspect in this
particular case has painted a much more intentional and nefarious picture of the actions leading up to
and resulting in Greg Moore’s tragic death.
After speaking with members of the law enforcement community and individuals with direct knowledge
of the facts, there appears to be evidence of a continuing pattern of predatory behavior by the alleged
perpetrator, including a possible second victim of vehicular assault.
Under normal circumstances I would agree that a 15-year-old should be prosecuted as a juvenile.
However, this new set of facts suggests that the intentions and motivations of the alleged perpetrator
warrant a serious review of whether she should be charged as an adult, as provided for in Washington
State law.
Given the seriousness of the case and new information about the suspect in question, I am requesting
that you review the full facts of the case and reconsider your decision regarding whether the alleged
perpetrator in the death of Greg Moore should be charged as an adult in a manner that is consistent
with state law.
Thank you for considering this request.
Sincerely,
Reagan Dunn
